Warriors and Jazz Mega Trade

Worst trade since magic johnson. People its not what the jazz gave up, its the lost opportunities. Mark my words their will be teams at the traDe deadline so desperate to get under the cap they will be throwing away good players and picks. Jazz made a panic move.

words=marked.

Hell yes!

Dream come true! Now 2 of our c4 will come off the bench! All we need to do now is resign Millsap and tinsley and we can bench our entire c5!

No way in hell. Both suck and are here, I'm sure, as filler so Jazz can meet minimum payroll requirements. I can guarantee neither of these two will get sig PT, even with Corbin as coach. This one doesn't worry me in terms of how it affects youngsters.

Trying to juggle a dozen things, but as others have reported, this is huge: GSW renounced rights to Jarrett Jack to do Utah deal.

So who's GS' PG now?

And we just made GSW elite for the next 4 years.

They just had to give up Landry and Jarret Jack. Glad they are set for 4 years, Lindsey just set up Utah for 10. Your move...

The Warriors also had to renounce their rights to guard Jarrett Jack and forward Carl Landry. Golden State had the Bird rights to Jack, which meant they could sign him to a new contract despite being over the cap. But to get under the cap, the Warriors had to waive that right and now Golden State can't afford Jack or Landry. San Jose Mercury-News

If anything I'm more excited, because it means the Jazz aren't bringing anyone in to start over our youngsters. And we're not staying at status quo.

Before Golden State deals, Dwight Howard had narrowed his choices to the Lakers and Rockets, league sources tell Y! Sports.

I will feel better about the trade when I know that Jefferson is 3rd string and Biendris is 4th string in Corbin's eyes

Jazz could have held out for Barnes if they were patient. Problem is, this shows Lindsay is committed to the Four. Lindsay saw that despite the fact that he was jerked around by Corbin most of last season by a ****ty coach, Burks still had a superior PER than Barnes, despite Barnes being given consistent minutes and green light by coach from day one. And Hayward is simply a better player than Barnes. No reason to bring a young Barnes in and risk the coach making more stupid playing time decisions and stunting the future of the better player.

Why This Trade is GREAT:

1- Our Young Guys are OFFICIALLY taking over. The only player we took on that might play major minutes is Rush. We also will be handing the keys to Burke.

2- We really didn't give up anything. For those of you worried about how we spent the $26 mill, what better could we have done with the money? Would you have rather signed a veteran to take time away from Kanter, Favors, and Burke?

3-We get all that cap space back NEXT YEAR! We didn't take on anything long term. This means that if there is a FA we want next year we might be able to get him (because we sure weren't getting anything good with the $ this year. Would you of rather signed Big Al or Millsap? Maybe Mo Williams?)

4- We're making sure that we won't be very good next year. This helps our chances of getting Wiggins, Gordon, Randal, Smart, or Jabari.

5- Late first round picks have value if you have a good GM. Lindsey will find talent with a pick in the mid 20s. Look at what he did in San Antonio.

I think everyone was simply mad because we didn't get Klay or Barnes, but that was never a possibility. They weren't going to trade their expiring contracts and Barnes just so they could sign Iggy. That doesn't make any sense at all.

=====If GSW can't turn this around, the Jazz took advantage of the Ws to heist their picks.

any team that wants to tank and has cap space would have done the same deal we did.
