Following potential 2014 draftees

Speaking of athleticism, keep an eye on Wayne Selden next to Wiggins at Kansas. That guy has potential to rise on draft boards.

Gordon has some real question marks with his handle and shot to play SF, but he is a spectacular athlete, has major hustle, and has a great feel for the game/IQ.
That last part makes me feel like he may be able to pull it together at SF.... but it's a risk.

Can you get a feel of what our team would like with Aaron on it? It feels like a monster to me. Sure there are questions marks.
Imagine Favors, and Gordon together. Hmm hmm. Beastly. We'd be so athletic. We've never seen a Jazz team like that.

I truly believe Kanter can be a good jump shooter for us. I like his shot.
I hope Hayward can be a leader on this team, take more shots, and be more consistent.
Having Burke lead this group would thrill me. Imagine Trey working the pick n roll with Kanter or Favors, with Hayward roaming freely to play off them.
Gordon can clean up the mess. There would be so many lop dunks, and put back dunks. The rim would need a vacation after the season was over.

Sorry to be a bummer in that probably year long Kentucky circle jerk. But after watching Aarons highlights and after that James Young's, I gotta say Young is 3 times the baller just by the vids, which obviously don't show defense aka the important 50% of the game. I know they're projected to different positions, but Young is 6'6" 1/2 with shoes and plays like a swingman. If he has enough quickness to defend that position, I don't see him play undersized SF. What I liked with Young was the way he attacked the rim. When he took contact, he did it to create space. That's a gr8 habit. He also seemed quicker and to possess more mobility. Really liked what I saw.

@PKM: I'm still missing Vasilje Micic in your Mock draft? Are you ignoring me? Or have I missed that he plans to enter 2015?

Assuming the Jazz will have all the scoring they need with the current players and after their first pick in this draft, who do people think is this draft's most dominant defensive player out on the floor? Think Tony Allen or vintage Ron Artest.

Or maybe we look for that type of player in free agency.

Yeah, 6'11" with a pretty high release. He'll be decent with enough reps. I still think he's a 20-foot range shooter.

It's terribly important for people to hit shots out on the floor. During the playoffs teams tend to pack the lane and defend the drive more than the jumper. With Kanter, Hayward, and Burke we should be in pretty good shape there. The first player we draft this year also needs to have a good solid jumper, plus a dribble-drive game.

If Micic declares he will almost certainly be a first round pick. Had a great U-20 tournament. Givony talking him up as well. Believe he will also be in Eurobasket.

If both Andrew and Aaron Harrison are coming to Utah, does that mean we'll be able to get more juicy insider Jazz info from PKM??
