No surprise. I saw the kid play for maybe 20 seconds in the Nike Summit?? to know he's special. Wouldn't be surprised to see him be the consensus #1 over Wiggins.

For the college year, sure. No way anyone supplants Wiggins in the draft, though... barring EPIC meltdown.

Nike Hoops Highlights. Question: Who looks more similar to Malone to you guys.. Kanter or Randle?

This is a vid worth watching (srsly). First game back from injury was the state semi-finals game. Randle went for 40 and 17 (first game back.. rust?).

See the speed, handles, strength, motor, and shot for a guy that's 6'9/250.

Wiggins will go #1, even if experts think that Randle's or Parker's ceiling is just as high. SG is right now the most rare position in the game. 2 years from now there will be a void literally of good offensive 2 guards(James Harden and the young '14 crew in their growth). Defensive SG's are rare too....I would have earlier said that Parker may be higher because he might be a SF, but I never paid attention to the fact that Randle is a left hander. Somehow NBA players always say they have problems guarding leftys...And his unique skillset totally makes up for his lack of height. To me he's probably a lock at #2 right now. When you consider how hard it is to find capable SGs and how dominant the few great ones have been historically I could even see Exum pass Parker in case that scouts are puzzling if he's "caught" between SF and PF in fashion of jack of all trades ... Just think back to Durant. His draftstock dropped too because people didn't know where to play him. Exum doing a 50pts performance next hoop summit which prolly is the only time we'll see him play until the draft won't hurt either!
I also see Hezonja play SG due to shortage in the league and his skillset. Why isn't there James Young included? SG and total badass in aspects of his game.
Everything I read about Embiid and WCS is that they're really raw, too hard to make a good prediction and both seem to have a ceiling of Mutombo/Chandler and a floor of Thabeet....

I would have put Young in the next spot. I'd like to see him add some strength.. otherwise, he could be argued for as high as 4 or 5.

Different people rank in various ways. I'm simply predicting the draft order.. which often times allows for a player being raw but having immense upside.

Kanter.
The handle of randle seperates him and brings him more towards a lebron comp

I know that. But the "quality" combined with upside and developed game will be there next draft. Teams won't be required to gamble like in other years. But it can of course be that a team drafting around 10 feels, they have all starting positions covered well except Center and already got all the needed scoring. They might decide for one of the defensive presence inside. And in this case WCS is more likely, since he's further developed I think. Less risk.
But the way I expressed the things I'd change was more in a "big board" sense of who will have the most impact in the league. And dating back to the 90s: On 9 of the past 23 championship teams the most important player has been a SG. And if I look at all the "side kicks", I fill another 8 slots. So the 4 championship teams that didn't have a major influence from a SG were the 1999 Spurs(Twin Tower) 2004 Pistons(Chauncey+Sheed) 2007 Spurs(Parker+Duncan) 2008 Celtics(Pierce+Garnett).
So I think you could argue that with 19 out of the last 23 championshipteams having a SG as their 1st or 2nd most influential player that this position is very important for winning it all.

That's all very interesting. No sarcasm.

I just don't think that way. I'm a BPA guy. And BPA is defined by what impact I think the player will have, as an individual, on the league over their career.
That creates much speculation, certainly... but I wouldn't be willing to abandon my current philosophy to reach for a SG (based on history.. when the league is continually evolving).

Nothing wrong with that... except Saric being too high.

Dont count on that. Saric started to play great towards the end of the Euro season and in the national tournaments. If he plays well in Eurobasket that will be another good thing for scouts. He would have gone in the lottery this year if he would have come over.

I sincerely hope no one was really truly saying that.

I wasn't really.... just saying his handle moves him closer to lebron than malone.
