Hope it is Gobert. I have no interest in Biedrins or Jefferson ever even sniffing the floor. Play all the youth and D league guys now. Find what we have. Biedrins and Jefferson are gone at the end of the season so anytime given to them is time stolen from our future.

Since I assume Biedrens will start with Favors. I will say Enes for Biedrens at 8:00, then at start of 2nd Quarter--Gobert for Favors, then Favors for Kanter at 8:00. Kanter for Gobert at 6 to finish the half. Jazz get to see all three critical pieces play together. (Kanter/Gobert for 4 minutes, Favors/Gobert for 2 mins.) and feature Favors/Kanter combo for 14 minutes each half.

But 18 mins/ half or 36/game may be too many minutes for Favors/Kanter. Biedrens may have to get 4 minutes more at start of 2nd qtr to keep Favors/Kanter down to 32-33 per game.

By "big man" I was more referring to the center position. I should have been more clear. But yes I should have put Evans in this poll.

Jeremy Evans has paid his dues and has performed well when given a chance. Let the kid play for crying out loud.

Fun fact

The Jazz are 8-0 when Jeremy plays more at least 17 min a game over the last two years
How many of those minutes were played with a Jazz lead of fewer than 20 points?

I don't know. But I like him playing. My eyes tell me that he helps win and contribute. I dont want him starting, but I want him to play 15 minutes a game. He brings a different dynamic to the game, and that's who he is. It isn't a perfect situation every time. But who really is, other than the top players?

I think the more ways you have of beating a team the better. Thats why the Dallas Maveriks won the title with JJ Barea, Dirk, Chandler, and the likes. They brought different things to the table. Dallas was stupid to blow that up. JJ Barea was killing teams because of what he added to that group of guys, and he isn't the ideal size for a player either supposedly.

All I ever hear about Jeremy is how skinny he is. Who gives a rip if he makes good things happen?

No one wants to admit that the league is moving away from physical low post play

Very detailed. I like it. I hate the rotation but I like the thought you have put into this. You must be ready for some Jazz basketball.

Could very well be Kanter. As I've said before, don't discount one or both of Jefferson and Biedrins starting. I remain very skeptical about Corbin starting 'two rookies' (a problem he created) in the front court. Despite us going with the 'youth movement,' it's a huge pride pill to swallow to take every guy that Corbin hid on the bench last year and insert them into a starting lineup. Kanter played 15 mpg last year. I expect about a 40% chance Biedrins starts and 80% chance Jefferson starts. The other guys will get minutes by default, so if they're not starting it's bit like anyone can tell Corbin they're not getting minutes. Starting Biedrins gives him an opportunity to protect his pride in a win-win situation where he plays guys minutes and gets the fanbase/management off his back and also gets the satisfaction of feeling he's still in charge. Don't mean to rain on the parade but just prepping for the inevitable suicidal ideations coming this November.

Yea. I'm ready for Jazz basketball. My life has been so empty. I even stayed away from here for a little while. But after I fixed the remote

made dinner for the kids

and changed the baby's diaper.

Then I got bored.

Why do you hate the rotation?

Surprised it took this long for someone to say Kanter who I believe will still be coming off the bench as well.

If Kanter doesn't start, then Corbin will likely be fired before the trade deadline.
