Yep.

Black mamba.

Yep.

As much as I dislike Lakers gotta give credit where its due. Sick looking jerseys, probably the best I have ever seen in last decade in NBA.

Good to see the Lakers biting hard on a 15-year old trend that seems to be dying because it got old as hell. Dumb jerseys.

I didn't know they already had such jerseys in their stock. Feel free to share old pics of them or whoever sported those.

Not sure if trolling or this is a serious attempt to answer my question. W/o explanation my narrow minded perception skills don't get it at least.

The black jersey trend started about 15 years ago and it is completely played out. The Lakers are free to be so proud to have an iconic logo and jerseys then turn around and piss that all away by wearing bowling shirts and having soul patches at the worst possible time. I love that they're doing it, actually. It's just another sign that the franchise is adrift.

I don't know. Maybe it's because I really like black jerseys. But with that particular one I like the way they set up the colors and they work together well. The purple letters on the black background is low contrast, still kinda cool. I also like the Magic black ones with pin stripes.

The Magic have either always had black jerseys or have at least had them longer than any team not named the Spurs. It's not so much a gimmick for them as much as it is BEING them. For a franchise so proud about not changing anything to do the whole white on Sundays thing (which, I don't know, at least wasn't buying into a GIMMICK) and then this crap? I don't know. The goal of a franchise should be to create something timeless, not suddenly take a shining to ball-necklaces and spiked/frosted-tipped hair.

I think it's in poor taste for them which doesn't really matter. What really matters is that they don't seem to have a clue what they're doing.

Honestly it sounds there's general dislike towards the Lakers talking, not fair judgement. I think these have the potential to become regular alternate home jerseys or wherever they wanna use them.

You think I'm making up that the Lakers are extremely late to this suddenly-black jersey trend because I don't like the Lakers? That's cool.

Honestly black jerseys exist since always. I'm very positive I'd be capable of finding rugby or football jerseys from 1920 or whenever. Why do they have to be the first in the league to be entitled to wear them? I could understand if you'd say: I think the colors are too modern or they look gay or whatever reason is there to find them ugly.
But the knock being: "Lol the Lakers are imitators and late to the party" is simply an expression of hatred towards the franchise in my eyes.
