What's new

I truly believe (yes, it's Corbin)

this sickening mess that we call the Utah Jazz has more to do with Corbin than anything else. I just wish we had another coach to see if what I feel is true, that our poor excuse of a coach is largely to blame for the poor play and unrealized potential of our young guys. How long is the FO going to let this abomination continue?

I'm at the game and it's awful. We are getting out coached so bad it's not even funny. No heart. Makes it hard to go to a game and see a team play so bad at home

How he still has a job is hilarious. We should change his nickname to the weatherman. At least we know they are allowed to suck at their job.

I was thinking the same thing. Why didn't we make any changes when they went on their run in the 2nd? How can a coach watch a team bury you and not make a substitution of some kind?

Pretty sure we are terrible because of two things. First, Dennis Lindsay is doing his job well, and second, trey Burke is injured. Corbin is a distant third if you want to keep blaming someone.

I just feel like there is no way he doesn't get fired sometime during the season. Someone has to take the blame.

I don't know that it's a distant third, but I agree Corbin isn't the major reason the Jazz are so bad. As you said, 1) lack of quality players, especially off the bench; 2) an injured player at the position the Jazz are most devoid of talent; 3) Corbin; 4) an incredibly difficult schedule to start the season.

Yeah, schedule has cost us at least a couple games. Man, we have been epically good at tanking.

Corbin is part of the suck but not as much as you guys think he is. We have got the ****tiest PGs who can't run plays or shoot or defend, very incostintent Core4 and some injuries.

I agree he may not be the best coach but it would take a hall of fame coach to make this team look good over this rough schedule.

Also we all know the bench is a big weakness and so how is it a surprise that the Jazz fall behind to begin the starting of the 2nd and 4th QTRS most every game.

You want adjustments at this time but at this time in the game there are 3 or 4 starters getting their rest and other bench players aren't that good buy DL's design or injury.

Corbin takes out JLIII for Garrett as an adjustment and people blame Corbin for not doing it sooner as opposed to say nice adjustment. Then when Garrett starts playing poorly (talking previous games not this one) which shouldn't come as a shock because he is a DLeague call up player new to the team and it's Corbin's fault he's having a bad game now. People say start Burks at PG because of how bad the options are and he has looked really bad and now he looses his energy and punch off the bench and Corbin gets blames negatively for this.

No doubt Corbin shares the blame but to put all the blame on him may not be entirely fair, now if you want to debate the lack of effort and mental weakness that at times appears to be lack of heart okay there are levels that a coach can be blamed.

Preaching to the choir here.

Sorry I had a headache and watching this game has made it much much worse I'm trying to edit my posts to make them more readable but they still aren't.

What's most troubling is the underperforming of our Core4. Have we overestimated them and do they truly suck, or perhaps is there another reason behind this?

So many "Ten Second Toms" on this board. It's unbearable sometimes. Our young guys in general have been showing something.

Our bench is terrible. Our PGs that have been playing are worse than d-leaguers (literally). And last of all I think our coach isn't good. Considering that, we are exactly what we expected to be.

How do people lose their minds.

Serious question. What did people think would happen when a team was literally built to lose. That the losses would all look great?

So many not ready for the tank.

From what I see the players don't seem to be getting any better. They seem to be losing confidence. Worst of all they are playing selfishly and without full effort.

Expectations from essentially everyone on JAZZFANZ is that we'd be a 20 win team not an 8 win team. We expected that our Core4 was better than they've shown. We did not expect to have all 'great losses' but rather at least more than 2 of them...

The suckiness to this point is concerning. whatever reason, it is worse than the 'regular' tanking expectations. I don't know how to search the site to find a pre-season poll on expected wins, but i'm doubtful many if any, predicted 8 wins.
