I know its just one guys opinion, but this seems a little harsh. Just curious to see the difference of opinions out there. What do yall think about this?
This is the one response to this I make a year. Hollinger's rankings are a formula. It's mathematics. It's not his opinion. A computer, using his formula, generates his 'opinion' daily. I'm not smart enough to quibble with his math. His ranking is a thing I look at from time to time, like lots of things I look at, and it's just a thing. But it does weigh heavily scoring margin which, according to studies I also don't have the knowledge to question, is apparently meaningful, and we're obviously not that great in that department.
When was the list compiled? If it was before the road trip I could see his point, but after? Jazz might not be playing a complete game of outstanding basketball but nobody can take away the achievement of going out there and knocking off playoff teams on the road. I'd say that puts us top 5, maybe even top 3 right now.

The rankings are redone every day. When was the list compiled? If it was before the road trip I could see his point, but after?
And win margin plays a big factor in the rankings. Lets face it, we are not blowing teams out right now.
Agree. Though I admire this team's resiliency, we could just as easily be 2-8 right now instead of 7-3 or somewhere in between. Jazz have got to find a way to shoot better from the start. The tremendous comebacks have also forced the starters to play way too many minutes. That's going to take a toll as the season progresses. And we're really in trouble if one of our main 6 goes down.Top 10 teams don't get down 20 consistently and have to dig their way out. Top 10 teams control the game.
While I agree we should be ranked higher, the Jazz need to get it together and stop losing control of games early. If we were playing the Lakers or the Celtics there's no way we grind out a win. No way.
Houston is ahead of us because they have played a lot harder teams.
Our strength of schedule is sub .500. Theirs is almost .600
