I think we are talking about the difference between being a good team vs being a championship caliber team if we keep rebuilding and letting pieces like Hayward, Millsap, etc go. At some point, we need to crap or get off the pot.
Also, stop comparing the AK situation to Hayward. Hayward will max out at about $15 mil per year with a max contract, when the salary cap could be close to $70 mil. AK maxed out at like $18 mil at the end of his contract, when the salary cap was below $58 million per year. That is a HUGE difference, and is not being talked about. Also, if Hayward signs for near max or max, he will be off the books when Trey is up for an extension, and our big rookies deal will not be up for extension until even later than that.
