Jazz vs Lakers | Friday November 26th @ 7:00pm

Surprisingly, Sloan starts Q4 with Watson, Price, Miles, Millsap (only 23 minutes so far), and Fes (no Elson).

Everybody's getting involved, but the shooting isn't great. Millsap draws his 4th foul. Sloan wisely subs in AK for PM.

AK unwisely starts off with an airball; CJ ruins a fast break with a charge.

Lakers bench has also been a strength, just like for Utah, says Locke.

DW and AJ come back in for Price and Fes. Jefferson scores quickly; Utah up by 3.

Locke points out a possible advantage: DW vs. Steve Blake. Bryant still on the bench.

DW to AJ for a layup. DW 20/9 so far; Jefferson 18/7 so far. Time to put the Lakers into a hole. Utah 81-78.

I hate the ****ing lakers so much

Stoked the jazz pulled this one off tonight

all the poser piss colored lakers bandwagon fans had a ****** time at the game

awesome

With a string of scores by KB early in 4Q, I thought that Utah's' wings (Bell, AK) were going to underdefend the team to a loss. But both RB and AK were crucial down the stretch; Bell with a fast-break layup & and a couple a free throws; AK two rebounds in the last minute plus two clinching FTs with <3 seconds left.

AJ interview after the game: It was the first time that he had been in a game like this with the playoff atmosphere. And "every possession counts."

Utah 102-96 final. Awesome game. Kudos to Sloan for doing a pretty good job in managing minutes, fouls, and lineups. But the players had to win it, and defense was a big part. DW = player of game.

That was so much fun. Loved Kobe's bitter smile at the end.

Idiot shot clock guys didn't reset the clock to 13, they reset the default clock to 13 instead of 24. Looked like they had no idea how they did it, either.

This team has heart. I wrote us off at about the 9 minute mark of the second when it seemed the second unit wouldn't give us anything more than the 1st unit. But this team fights. I can't say enough about that.

In my original post I said if the Jazz play confident they will win this game by 5, we end up winning the game by 6 after early game jitters. This team has a lot of potential to really wreak havoc this year if they can put it all together and play with that type of intensity every night. Great win by the Jazz now let's see if we can carry this momentum over to the "other LA team"...

Great game to watch, I really enjoyed seeing our boys not give up or wilt down the stretch, especially when Kobe went off for 4 shots in a row at the end. Last year's team would've folded, not so much this time around and I love it!

Interestingly, the Lakers announcers were hitting early on the Jazz defensive woes about switches. The amazing thing is we SHOULD have been exposed in this game for exactly the reasons they were saying but the same narrative played out that we've seen all this year: When this team gets down, it stops thinking and plays fantastic. That said, we once again got bailed out in the 3rd when Kobe missed easy, easy, EASY shots. But that's all part of the game. And the 4th was a battle we won to get the victory.

I haven't written this team off once. Got to love the competitors on this year's squad.

I truly believe we are just starting to scratch the surface - and can get much better (starting off games better, less def rebounding lapses).

What an amazing, gutty performance... This team just continues to beat quality teams... What a great win tonight....

I know it's early in the season but a loss to the Lakers tonight could have devastated this teams confidence... It could have sent them into a tailspin saying to themselves, "What's the point, we can't beat the Lakers anyway." This game does a lot for this teams confidence...

Great coaching at the end too... Sloan devised a great gameplan to get the ball out of Kobes' hands and it paid off...

This team has BALLS OF STEEL. HOSS!

Deron finally took it to Fish. I liked that he floated shots instead of trying to get all the way to the hoop where he used to get stuffed by Gassoff.
He knew what he was doing out there.

So glad the jazz didn't double team, so their shooters never got a chance to get hot. Then when the jazz doubled Kobe, the others were out of sinc.

Great win, especially overcoming the refs. This team is winning games no matter what the adversity. The lakers seemed to know that the refs were on their side with all the flopping they were doing.

IGS eats dung.
