Jazz vs Lakers | Friday November 26th @ 7:00pm

This team has BALLS OF STEEL. HOSS!

Deron finally took it to Fish. I liked that he floated shots instead of trying to get all the way to the hoop where he used to get stuffed by Gassoff.
He knew what he was doing out there.

So glad the jazz didn't double team, so their shooters never got a chance to get hot. Then when the jazz doubled Kobe, the others were out of sinc.

Great win, especially overcoming the refs. This team is winning games no matter what the adversity. The lakers seemed to know that the refs were on their side with all the flopping they were doing.
Yeah--the way that the Jazz "overcame" the refs to change the call on the out-of-bounds from the Lakers favor to the Jazz's favor was impressive <<rolleyes>>. Do you love to lobby for the so-called oppressed, Craig?

IGS eats dung.
LOL; thanks for the shout-out. The dung that I eat is the secret sauce that has higher sophistication than simply b*tching about the refs. That's why, in the post-game, Deron said that Utah got the first five fouls of the game because the Jazz weren't being aggressive.

Addendum: Phil Jackson, in the post game, says that Deron got away with a lot out there and the Derek Fisher wasn't able to move around much. Yeah; the Jazz were running uphill refwise.

Who in the hell are these GARBAGE announcers?!?!? Am I watching a Fakers broadcast? One idiot is clueless ("WHO WOULD HAVE THUNK IT?" in reference to a Jazz comeback), have you been watching the games this year, idiot? And the other moron (Tweedledum), who I'm guessing is Harpring, is slobbing all over the Lakers', and more specifically, Kome Cryant's knob left and right. I'm going to have to mute this garbage and listen to Yeezy's MBDTF or something.

Also:

Good win, good win.

Gasol > Jefferson
Kobe > our SGs
This year's Artest < Last year's Artest
Hate to say it, but Odom > Millsap tonight.

D.Will > Lakers

D. Will either scored or set up just about every basket in the last 5 minutes.

I remember a Jazz-Laker game about 10 years ago when LA was working on their first 3-peat. Derek Fisher was hurt and LA started Lindsay Hunter in his place. Stockton came out and completely abused Hunter - Stock scored something like 12 of Utah's first 15 points which set the pace for a Jazz win.

10 years later and it's basically same scenario - individually The Lakers may have the advantage; but The Jazz are so far ahead of The Lakers at PG that it almost negates the other 4 match-ups in LA's favor.

I wish we had Josh Smith so D.Will could set him up for about 7 dunks a night. Guess we'll have to wait for Jeremy Evans.

You can say the same thing about the Lakers advantage at SG. Kobe is so much better than Bell that it almosts negates the Jazz advantage at PG.

Jazz as constructed can give L.A. a 6/7 game series, but in order to beat them they need more wing scoring and a better starting 2.

Gotta give it up for Raja in this one. After getting badly scorched by Kobe and missing a big shot, team down 5, Raja nuts up and makes big plays.
He stayed with it. His steal that led to his layup to get the lead back was so huge.

It's really indicative of the whole team. Doesn't matter how hard the opposition punches them, the jazz just punch back harder and keep playing.

It would have been easy to fold the tents once the lakers got up by 5, with Kobe going crazy like that. But the jazz kept their poise and made the plays when it counted.

I still want to see Raja play better. I think he should be averaging double figures, but I know he's giving his all. Hopefully his shot will come around soon.

I think it was very important that the jazz never double teamed until the very end. When Gasol was scoring in bunches, the jazz didn't double team and never let Fish or Artest have open looks. So they never got into any rhythm. So at the end, when Kobe had to be doubled, the other guys couldn't hit the shots.

Can somebody compile a highlight reel of Derons shots/passes down the stretch...? I know thats asking alot but im in a heated Debate with a person from another forum about cp3 v Deron. We argued all day about how was more "clutch" He pulled out some Stats from 82games.com and i thought they were total BS and i said id much rather have the Ball in Derons hands at the end of games. Tonights performance was so satisfying on many levels. bit if i was able to somehow get a youtube Video of Derons performance tonight that would be icing on the cake! Go Jazz!!!

After that one foul on kobe by AK...the three one...I thought the game was over.

Me too. That's why he's the best player in this league and probably of this decade. Those shots were just nasty. Even after all our comebacks this year, I didn't think we would do it against LA. But give our guys MAJOR props for not giving up.

The Lakers' offense broke down after Kobe's outburst. They're a better team when Kobe is driving and collapsing the defense so Gasol and Odom can clean up. The Lakers stopped moving, and D.Will kept attacking.

I agree with you. It's been this way for many years.
