All respect to BYU in this game. It was a hard fought, clean played, and good game all the way around.

To Ute fans calling for Cain. Are you high or stupid? Ive been arguing with my dad and other fans in the stands for weeks now that Cain sucks worse than Wynn. Now they get their way and that loser almost cost us the game. Those 2 picks were about as bad of football plays as you can make. The 2nd one into double coverage was pathetic. He had 2 good games against some of the worst teams we have ever played and they think that was reason to play him over Wynn.

Sorry Greg, disagree.

Wynn has been butt hurt since TCU. Cain made some bad mistakes, but Wynn had to suck it up. Look for cain to lead this team next year.

Great decision by Coach.

Cain is a senior and is gone after this year. Playing him was a terrible decision. Wynn has been bad since TCU but they took a huge risk about losing that kid and his future for a dead end player that will not be back. I would almost understand if it was for Robles or a young QB. But taking that risk for a senior who also has no talent was just about as stupid as Crowton (oops Mendenhall) not taking a 2 score lead instead of going for it on 4th.

Ohh and never feel sorry for disagreeing with me. It's part of being on a sports talk board. If I did not want other opinions I would not come here. :)

Whether or not Payne had hit that field goal at the end, it would have been a good game. Good in the sense of excitement and tension. I didn't know how long I could stand there in sub 30 degree weather watching two teams, neither of which seemed to want to win. But it was dramatic, anyway.

Considering the debacle at Notre Dame, I think it was okay (good) for Whit to give Cain a shot. You can only watch Wynn melt for so long before you want something to be hopeful for. Besides, Wynn needed a wake up call more than he needed his confidence coddled. I think Cain being out there was good for Wynn.

Oh, and I've been in denial all year long, but after this game I have finally come to admit that indeed, Heaps > Wynn.

I agree with the 1st part 100%.

The second I guess I can see. I hope it works that way. Utah only has Wynn next year with any real experience. They will not have Cain there if he loses all confidence due to being benched. Maybe they have a guy in the wings ready to take over if Wynn can't come around. I hope it woke him up. I am as sick as anybody of watching him be afraid to throw the ball because it might be a TO. I think he lost confidence before the TCU game because of how last years game went, hopefully that will change.

I thought Wynn played better after having to sit a couple of possessions. Not that it would necessarily work every time. But to be perfectly honest, if Wynn's confidence is so fragile that he can't be pulled, he is not the guy we need. We need someone mentally tough. Maybe this will come with experience, but if being benched is going to completely wreck him, we should be looking at other options.

I said the same about cain as well. Also I hope wynn works on gaining muscle and weight, especially his legs so when scrambling he won't faint or fall over at the mere sight of a d lineman and groinel area so his balls will drop and quit being a scared lil bitch

Terrible not to take the field goal for 9-0. Not only that but the play call was horrible anyway. Some really bad moments for Anae in this game but I wonder how much the staff in general was trying to protect Heaps. I don't know how much you can blame Bronco because I honestly don't know how much he knows about offense. Also, I like having lots of RBs but they need to taylor plays for each one. They kept running that stupid crossing play with Q when that's something more for D.

That's a good point. But confidence is a fragile thing for a QB at almost any level. I agree he played better after however.

But to be honest he very easily could have had the lead at halftime in this game if #81 does not flat out drop that pass to him that would have set up 1st and goal in the 1st half. And then they missed the FG on that possession that could have tied it. Do they make the change then? I don't think so.

I'll give a bunch of credit to BYU here their defense was well prepared and played a very good game. They completely took away the run game in the 1st half.

The QB situation was blowing up in Utah's face but I like that they were willing to make the change. I think that's a good mentality especially compared to BYU's for this game.

But it is interesting that the only time Utah really marched was when they went conservative and just ran the crap out of the ball.

Best post I've ever seen from you. That was a terrible call and I said it before the play started. Also Coach Whit made a terrible decision on the very next possession to go for it on 4th and short in his own half of the field. Whit's decision will not be talked about because their team made it and Bronco's did not. But both decision's were flat out wrong.

The thing with Wynn is I know he's not a runner but he still runs like an idiot. Heaps is no runner but he knows how to run. Wynn just looks petrified whenever he gets outside the pocket or has to run. Hang your hat on that guy at your own peril.

This is my only problem with Wynn. I can't ever recall a bigger wuss in a Utes uniform.

The way he dives down, short of a first down, because he is so afraid of contact... He even took a sack with a loss of around 12 yards today because he dove down in order to avoid contact.

Wynn is good when the weather is nice and there is no pressure. But his wussyness makes him suck under pressure, and being from San Diego makes him suck in bad weather.

He's still young so hopefully he gets better in these areas, but I was pissed watching him today.

Ya, that was crazy by Whit. I thought both coaches got caught up in the moment from time to time and made decisions they wouldn't have made in any other game.

Whit didn't even look happy after the game. I'm sure he was but I think it was more just relief after all the buildup.

Anytime I saw Wynn throw in rhythm I knew it was going to be a good play. But that happens for QBs only about 1 out of 4 plays. Wynn under duress isn't good whether it be from the defense or his WRs not getting open or whatever.

Or it could be that his own player elbowed him in the back of the head in celebration.

I know I'm not as happy as I usually am after a win in this rivalry. Some of it could be from how poorly they played including the past 3 weeks but also going forward into the PAC12 just not the momentum I was hoping for, but guess there is still a bowl game to play so we'll see.

Oh also how come no Dunn (the fasrest offensive player) in the end around or deep passes, just questioning the play calling I guess can be had on both sides

I thought it was last game in the mwc type thing, but guess it could've been an impromptu finally on the winning side of a living right/miracles happen type win
