tbh, if Gordon had a corner 3 and could shoot 70 percent from the line, then he'd prolly be fourth on my list. Right now, I just can't get thrilled.

Yes. Not saying I want to give up Kanter either to make room for him. I would play him off the bench in the Evans role, but with more minutes. Would let him experiment with pushing the ball off rebounds, shooting the corner 3, defending perimeter and post, etc.
“I can play the 3,” Gordon told me. “I know for a fact I can play the 3. I’m developing my shot every day and people will be surprised how well I can shoot it.”
“I have a lot more to my game,” he added. “If I am fortunate enough to make the next level, I want to play the 3.”
He is the youngest freshman in college (turns 19 in September) highly unlikely he doesn't improve his shooting seeing as he doesn't have any major form flaws.
You are drafting potential, physical tools, mental tools, lock-down defensive ability, versatility, and incredible intangibles.
Mine today:
1- wiggins
2- Parker
3- Smart
4- Exum
5- Embiid
6- Gordon
7- Vonleh
8- Randle ( i never stopped believing until this past week.)
Then you're going against what he wants to do in the NBA:

The Jazz have stated repeatedly that they do not want to develop a culture of losing. Drafting a project, like Gordon, would be exactly the opposite of what the Jazz have stated their objective to be. We don't need another player to take 3-4 years to find out whether he's a bust or not. While I have no doubt another year or two would do Gordon wonders, I really have serious concerns over his position and FT shooting. It is extremely rare for a player to go from 41 percent to 70-80 percent.

Think it's funny how much people harp about wanting to have a better defensive team, but when it comes time to add an elite defensive talent people are shy.
Not advocating taking this guy over Parker/Embiid/Wiggins, but after those 3 he has the most potential to be a game changer.

Exum says hi. Also, Gobert is an elite defensive talent.
