Well, so much for the tank last night. GSW isn't going to miss the playoffs and might catch Portland. Still, a 23-24 pick in this draft should net us a solid backup. Lakers at Sacramento tonight. Likely Kings win, which would move them pretty much out of range. Lakers don't have much chance of picking up another win until the last two games @ Utah and then @SA, in a game in whch the Spurs are likely to just rest their top 6 players.

scenario

?? What s-s-scenario would lead to that outcome?

Well Steph Curry ruined this last night, but here was the scenario:

Starting yesterday:
GS 45 28
Mem 44 30
phx 44 30
dal 44 30
....
then....
......

GS loses 2
Dal wins 1
Mem wins 1
Phx wins 1

They all wind up 45 -30

The New Orleans game could be a trap game or us. Ty needs to be instructed to play JLIII, Beans, Thomas, Ian and Gobert all 48 minutes and give everyone else the night off.

Keep an eye on Boston. They have a pretty ideal schedule in terms of the teams they're playing to end the season (even if it's 5 away, 3 home). We really need them to steal a few here.

@Wizards
76ers
@Pistons
@Hawks
Bobcats
@Cavs

Wizards

Some big tank games tonight.

No utah game...

LAL @ SAC
CLE @ ORL
BOS @ WAS

A Boston win would place them 1 full game behind the Jazz with the same number of games played. A loss and we are tied.

A Lakers win would place them 3 games back of the Jazz with the same number of games played.

Also very interesting and now coming into play is that if Orlando wins the Jazz would only be 1 game out of a tie for 3rd. Same number of games played.

Jazz could still finish top 3 going into the lottery!!

Also:

LAC @ PHO
GS @ SAS

Obvious why I want the home teams to win.

Maybe Washington rests their players in that last game?

**** a @#$% We just can't catch a break!!!

NEW YORK, April 2, 2014 – Rod Thorn, NBA President, Basketball Operations, issued the following statement today regarding a non-call during overtime of the Golden State Warriors’ 122-120 win over the Dallas Mavericks on April 1, at American Airlines Center:
“Upon review at the league office, we have found that a shot taken by Dallas’ Monta Ellis with 16.0 seconds remaining in overtime was on the way down when initially contacted and ruled a block by Golden State’s Jermaine O’Neal, and should have been ruled a goaltend. The exact trajectory of the ball when touched was impossible to ascertain with the naked eye, and the play was not reviewable.”
