Did you know that the Harrison twin with big balls shot 32% from 3 in conference this year?

He's an elite shooter.
 
I really don't think most of us are THAT down on either of these guys - we're only saying they're not top ten picks. Aaron in particular has no business being talked about in the lottery at this point because he can't dribble.

I think they both have the potential to be nice players, but what does Aaron Harrison do that say GR3 doesn't? Not much, in my estimation and nobody in their right mind would take him in the lotto.

paul pierce shot .302% when he was a freshman. glen rice shot .250% when he was a sophomore. actually rice never really attempted to shoot 3's in 1st 2 years. bottom line both shot bad %, but shown the ability to hit the big shot.

aaron harrison has a make up of becoming a very good shooter. he isn't afraid of the moment, has a good stroke, and wants to take the shot. 3 clutch shots man. that's no coincidence IMO.

potential is there. don't deny it.

I'd use a top 5 pick on Randle and be ecstatic about it. Not sure how early I'd take any of the others. If the Harrison twins end up in the draft this year (I personally think they should both stay at least two seasons) then I don't think either guy is worth a 1st round pick. Draft is too deep this year. Next year might be a different story.

I can see them having a "Trey Burke" sophomore season if they stay (especially Andrew).

They are strong bodied guards in college, but what are they in the pros? Scrubs, straight up.

I can project Young's talent. Dude is a silky smooth scorer when he keeps his shot selection in check.

Good thing about Young is that he's a lefty. Not many lefties in the league. Each possession when your defender forgets that you have a good opportunity to take advantage of that.

About 14 players currently projected in the lottery would have to go back to college for Aaron Harrison to be a lottery pick. Late 1st rounder at best.

PG's rise because of positional scarcity in the draft. Robert Horry at SG in college doesn't.

Last year Ben McLemore went 7th and was mocked as high as #2. Was a weak draft. But I think he would go pretty high in other years as well. At least mid teens. Both players are relatively old for a freshman (McLemore due to redshirt and Harrisons were born in the fall, when parents basically have to decide if they enter school relatively early or take an extra year - don't know their bios, so can't tell if they had to take a year in school again or sth.)

I think Aaron Harrison is going to be a better player than Ben McLemore probably. His 36% from three is deceiving a little. I read some time ago that there's a big disparity in his shot selection.
He's horrible off the dribble and very good with his feet set.
Problem is Randle with his limited court vision and obvious underdeveloped parts of his game wasn't yet a reliable 1st option on the college level and that hurt their offense a lot paired with Andrew Harrison's lack of elite playmaking/decision making. Basically crippled their offense IMO. Teams could always play zone or double team ballhandlers. Switch everything.

Not saying it forced Young and Harrison to take a lot of bad shots but let's say it influenced the decision making.

I don't like forecasting such a thing on a player who's that young and actually shown development over the season.

Again, what skills does the Harrison twin with the big balls have that make him a lottery talent? Average shooting? Average size for a SG? Below-average defense? Below-average ability to create? Below-average rebounding?

I'd take him in the 20's because he's young and could/should improve, but he's not anything close to a lottery talent IMO.

Jordan Adams and Harrisons are pretty similar age wise. Adams is 2 1/2 months older.

For the Harrisons in case they declare a lot will depend on them being able to outplay their competition in workouts. They will have to play 3v3 scrimmages and if they can show improvement and promise there I think there's a couple Eastern Conference GMs that may be willing to take a chance on one of them.
Especially with SG being the weakest position in the league and both having enough size, strength and speed to play this position.

That it is.

He has just had the most clutch run in NCAA tournament history (no hyperbole). Three game-winning shots IN A ROW.

But that alone doesn't earn one a lottery spot... nor is he deserving of one.
