What's new

Summer plans?

Not to make you guys feel bad or anything, but I get the summer off with my job. Dat college recruiting gig, doe. Gonna fish a lot, camp, waste lots of money on non-stripper girls, hopefully finish my book, and I'd really like to take a wilderness survival course from Cody Lundin in Arizona.

Not as hard as it looks.

Just one foot in front of the other bro.

Me hiking Zion this year would result in me being single. Between alimony and child support for 5 kids, it make more financial sense to just stay married.

Anyone interested in hiking Zion this summer?

My family and I are looking at doing exactly that. I did Angels Landing once. When you get all the way to the top by using that chain it gives you a hell of a view. Nice thing is that there are about a dozen different trails of all sizes and difficulties.

When I go hiking I don't care about the beauty of the environment. Just want it to be as hard of a hike as possible.

Do yourself a favor and travel through Zion all the way to Caramel Junction, take a right, travel through Kanab and on to Buckskin/Pariah Gulch. Less people, longer narrows, and you can always drive back to Zions and apply for your hiking permits.

That guy doesn't make you want to throw your remote through the TV? I like the survival course idea, but I know that dude would drive me crazy being around him for a week or whatever. Plus his name alone probably commands a $$$$ premium since he's on TV. You'd probably be better off finding a survival course with some no name ex-special forces guy leading it or something.

Aww thanks nikkkk. Sometimes you're not so bad.

Do you use your Chinese skills much in JH? Are there a lot of Chinese ghosts there? I have a bunch of pics with my family from when I was 12 or 13 and then 15 or 16 in Jackson Hole on my computer and both of the rafts we floated are full of Chinese people that I don't remember being there.

Never seen any Chinese ghosts?? Haha. But yeah there are a fair amount of Chinese tourists who come through. I can't figure out how to get them to go rafting though. It seems like one time a Chinese guy told them it was dangerous, so now the entire population thinks it is so scary, it's weird because they always used to go rafting too.

I get to meet a lot of fun people in the summer, that is what I like about my job. In a place where everyone goes to vacation, most people are happy, and there is a pretty good variety.

Just grilled a bunch of Brats on the grill last night. Had them marinating in beer all day. Nom nom nom...

It's actually pretty amazing that here on JazzFanz we have x2 Chinese speaking Whites.... in bLine and DuckDodgers
