Following potential 2014 draftees

Hes not going to balloon up.

Why not use a more positive example? KLove came in slightly chubby and slimmed down. Big baby was already fat anyways. Jabari isnt fat.

Kevin love aint polynesian iirc

I think Jabari struggles with weight a little vs. doesn't struggle.

I think I'd be more concerned with work ethic than weight. (not because he's lazy)

Jabari is half Tongan right?

https://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=tongan

The people who originate from the Kingdom of Tonga. The first polynesians. Gigantic, and have natural steroids; Ulu, and HorSe Tongans are gigantic, and all have a natural ability to play sports. There are two types of tongan bodies. the big (fat) ones, who tend to be naturally strong, and the big (muscular) ones who are the dominant athletes of whatever group they are in until they decide to stop playing. TOngans are powerhouses in Rugby and Football.

Tongans are very nice, hospitable, and religious people. But when you make them mad they'll beat you to a pulp no matter who you are, or how strong you think you are.

So this makes me wonder - is Jabari the "big fat type" or the "big muscular type"????

Getting this right is crucial to our own evaluation/projection of his potential.

All this doubt surrounding Parker because of the way his weight is perceived is just hilarious. Its like no one is paying attention to the things that truly matter.

Parker to me is the surest thing in the draft. Ill bet any amount that he ends up being a top 5 player in the NBA.

U need help unwadding your panties, dear?
Errybody just messin bro.. join in.

Surprised Wiggins doesn't back out as well. I don't hold it against Parker and Embiid; they're just following the advice of their agents. They'll have private workouts for the teams holding the top four or five picks. It might make me a little more hesitant to draft Embiid. He'll only have a short individual workout to show his back is healed.

Well, I called it.
And Hack is right (shudder). The draft order will depend on preference and need. I guess a super individual workout by Exum and bad medical reports for Embiid could shake it up a little. But there is nothing to be gained from Parker or Wiggins attending the combine.

Parker's basement pick is 4. And I believe he goes 2.

I dunno, I'm not so sure now, he will be the first Tongan athlete ever in the NBA... I have my reservations about his "fatness". There just aren't a lot of comps to go off of...

Carrying that fat around for 82 games ain't gonna be easy....

I mean, you can relate to that right???

His mother, Lola, a Polynesian native of Tonga, is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church) and emigrated to Salt Lake City at age three.[3] Her grandfather was the second Tongan baptized by LDS missionaries.[4] Several of Lola's cousins are National Football League athletes, including Harvey Unga, Haloti Ngata and Tony Moeaki.[143][135] His parents met at a mall when she was a student at Brigham Young University and he was playing for the Warriors.[3][2][4] After helping him find a dress shirt, Sonny left her tickets to his game.[4] After he retired and she served her mission, they married and settled in Chicago.[4] The family lives in the South Shore community area where his parents settled after marrying[2] and has turned down two movie offers.[3]

Yep. As a past NBA player of half Tongan blood.. I feel for Jabari.

expectations

If you're an athletic freak, the combine is good for you.

If you're not, it's bad

If people think you are an athletic freak but are not sure it can help. It is all about how you perform versus expectations. If you are more athletic than you are given credit for, then go.

Which half???

A bit more info....
