What's new

Following potential 2014 draftees

It's also my turn for Randle.

#Hungry

You have not been putting on for Randle nearly as much as I have for Gordon. I've created a revolution. You created a spectacle by trying to say Randle could play SF. People believe in Gordon now. Not saying it was because of me, but it started with me.

Exactly.

Mine's the complete opposite. People simply would HATE the Randle pick. That's why it would be so SWEET when Commish. Silver calls his name for the Utah Jazz.

Note: The Randle pick is pretty damn unlikely, but I'm still holding on to a 10% chance

I think it's weird that a lot of mock drafts are having Aaron Gordon drop to #10.

The Hornets(bobcats) aren't going to take him at 9 if hes on the board. So I think theres an outside chance he drops to 10, but I dont see him sliding past Sacramento tbh.

Rudy Gay - Aaron Gordon - Demarcus Cousins, to me, seems like a match.

No ones gonna comment on Walter Tavares having a 9'10" standing reach??? that might be one of those records that stands for awhile.

Pavel Podkoizine was 7'5" in shoes, his standing reach of 9'8" is the biggest in the DX database (Rudy measured 9'7")

Even John Reik was only rumored to have a 9'8 or 9'9 standing reach.

Im pretty sure "Edy" measured out 7'3" too, they're calling him "The Cape Verdean Colossus"

Been reading about his workout with the Celtics, some have described his feet as "Abnormally quick"

Does Vonleh look...weird to anyone else? Is it his shoulders? WHAT IS IT!? Compare him to Gordon, he looks like he has a tiny frame. Is that it?

Noah has short legs, a long torso, long arms and massive hands.

His build is actually advantageous for what he will be asked to do, its also key with his dribbling moving forward, his body composition allows him to play with a lower center of gravity than your average 6'9½ player.

ROFL wait til you see Myles Turner.

I never really got that impression with Noah tbh, I saw Cy saying he looks funny when he runs, I dont see that at all. He looks like he runs very well, has a nice and easy stride, a few of his buckets this year were from beating the entire defense down the court and getting a layup, one of the plays was vs Payne IIRC. his ¾ court sprint time was the same as Aaron Gordon and Julius Randle.

Noah can certainly improve the fluidity of a few things that he does, but considering where he was at last year, hes shown the aptitude to learn new things and successfully use them into action in-game, He did just put on a bunch of weight and hes 18, his coordination will improve and obviously hes going to get stronger. Judging by what Walt Perrin had to say about his post moves, I think he transitioned into that sort of back to the basket game quite nicely, I think Walt actually said his left hook is his best move.

One thing to keep in mind with these photos is the perspective. Look at Smart.. he looks HUGE in that photo.. surely he's not as big as Vonleh. Gordon is a bit forward and the lends may have enlarged him a bit more too compared to Vonleh. Vonleh is the furthest back and he is slouching a bit too.

You really need to see them side by side to make any kind of meaningful comparison....

Ya, but he is standing next to McDermott and still looks scrawny. McDermott looks a little bigger.

Vonleh looks scrawny for a big man.

Just say no to Noah

Hes got almost 25lbs on Bosh and is about 6months younger at the time of the draft. 13lbs heavier than Lamarcus Aldridge when he was drafted as a Sophomore. Both of those players are 1½" taller than Noah too, so there's even more of a bulk difference.

Aaron Gordon might be the second coming of Amir Johnson, at 5 hes a reach.
