Wow, amazing video!
I love how comfortable Alec is going to his left. Makes him much harder to defend. (im curious if hayward would have even one left hand scoring play, besides a dunk, in his 13-14 mix)
He seems to have added a pretty decent spin move to his arsenal this last year. I dont remember seeing a spin move from him before last year, and then last season i remember a handful of spin moves.
He has totally added and incorporated a very very effective euro step to his game this last season.
His improved outside jumpshot game and that euro step are the two improvements that have upped his game the most imo. (well those and the fact that he was not on the bench all season)
I dont know if there are many players in the league with season highlight vids featuring more tough (whodini) shots.
As someone else said, he is very very smooth. Very "slick pimpish"
Sometimes it is preferrable to have a player doing alot of thinking on the court (bbiq), but other times its better to have a player that doesn't think too much and just has that natural instinct.
I notice hayward often beats his man off the dribble, gets into the paint, and then thinks too much about what to do next and sometimes doesn't know what to do.
Burks doesn't seem to think much. He just attacks and once he gets to the basket he just has the natural ability or instinct to know what to do...... draw contact? avoid the contact? go left or right? score on the front side of the hoop or go under the hoop for a reverse? pass off to teammate?...... it all just seems to come natural to him.
