I'll bet anyone on the planet that Utah doesn't finish in the top 3 in the FAP12.

And now Alex Smith gets demoted. It pours.
The numbers are in, and Wednesday night's MAACO Bowl Las Vegas was the highest-rated ESPN Regional Television (ERT) bowl game telecast in history, ESPN announced.
Tenth-ranked Boise State's 26-3 victory over No. 19 Utah was the event's sixth consecutive sellout and the crowd of 41,923 was the second-biggest in the bowl's history and third-largest in Sam Boyd Stadium history. The matchup was equally popular nationally as it earned an average rating of 3.78 on ESPN. The previous high for an ERT bowl game was 3.03 for the Dec. 24, 2008, Sheraton Hawaii Bowl featuring Notre Dame against host Hawaii. Last year's MAACO Bowl Las Vegas earned a 2.58 rating for a game between BYU and Oregon State.

Only Salty would think that it's great that millions of viewers watched his Utes go down in flames.![]()

I was going to post something very similar to that.
It's great the Utes showed the nation what the PAC-12 can expect next year.
Nice to see Utah and Boise had the highest rated ESPN owned bowl ever. So much for that worldwide BYU fan base.
I'm not a BYU fan... I'm not a "Fire the coach, blow up the program!" nutjob. I realize that Utah's defense just held Boise State to their season low. I also realize that most of those guys on defense will be back next year.
The problem with Utah was their non existent offense. And that can be expected when you go against a great defense like Boise's without your starting QB and left tackle.
So despite what BYU fans are trying to spin, any college football fan should already know that is not the offense they can expect to see out of Utah next year. Cain is a senior so that was his last game in a Utah uniform.

In all seriousness, though, I agree about the Utes defense. They were absolutely dominant for a quarter. If they can hold Boise to just 543 yards of offense and 23 first downs, it's hard to imagine that the PAC10 teams aren't quivering in their boots.
Shouldn't you be out looking for another "Quest for Perfection" shirt?
