Oh, and kkk picking D12 is hilarious.

Webber > Dwight

LOL .. at the Dwight Howard hate on this board.. it seems you guys can't look past his off-court issues post-Orlando era to see how good he was before that.

During 2007 - 2012 Howard was arguably the most dominant big man in the NBA. He averaged 20 points, 14 rebounds and 2.8 blocks over that period (also led the league in Blocks and Rebounds in consecutive years) and was the driving force of the Magic going to the NBA Finals in 2009. For a guy known for his defensive abilities (x3 consecutive Defensive Player of the Year awards) 20 ppg is nothing to scoff at.

Look at his off-court antics all you want, I prefer to look at the actual stats and how dominant he was on the court.

LOL! What? Come on bro, in 2009 the year they made the Finals they had three all-stars (Howard, Lewis, Nelson). Lewis and Turkoglu took a lot of pressure off of Howard, that's why they were so good. They had Courtney Lee when he was a young great defender and shooter. If anything Howard could have worked on his offensive game which was limited to begin with. That team was awesome, I really thought they were going to win it all.

Lewis, Turkoglu, Nelson, and Courtney Lee?

LOL .. without Howard, would that team even make the playoffs?

Dwight Howard is a good player. Its just that I don't know how he fits. A good passing big would be awesome to pair with Timmy. Hotttnickkk still has one of the best teams though.

Thanks bro!!

Howard is not a bad passer, but he won't need to do a lot of passing on this team. Duncan is a good passer and averages 3 assists for his career, Pippen averages 5.2 assists and Kidd averages 8.7 assists.

Howard just needs to focus on playing hard defensively, grab every rebounds imaginable and block shots. Offensively Duncan will be the focal point, so when he gets doubled, Howard will get many easy dunks. I think Jason Kidd will really enjoy throwing alley hoops to Howard too.

I want to start a thread about my team after the draft if it's ok with the mods. I want to discuss my team and strategies. I guess nobody would search the pages and look the definitions of the players or who we choose them. It's an important part of the voting process to sell your team IMO.

You'll have the chance to submit your team's strategies, info, etc, to QuinSnyderHair when he has determined the match-ups. He will then post your write-up VS your opponent's write-up and post them all together with the poll for that particular game.

So in that write-up you can include as much or as little info as you want. You'll have your chance to explain why your team will win over the opponents. You can even go through each of the match-ups for each position (PG, SG, ..) and even how your bench will trump your opponent if you want to be that detailed, it's entirely up to you.

With the 50th pick I select Grant Hill.

Starters:

Paul
Havlicek
Hill
Garnett
Abdul Jabbar

Damnit, you idiots managed to take the two exact guys I was targeting!! Do you guys read my mind or something?!?!?! Now I don't know who to pick, and I gotta go play golf. Send me your trade offers or I'll just have to make my choice after golf. I'm not going to rush my pick.

I'm gonna have to agree with Hotttnickkk. When Howard was in Orlando he was a really dominant player. I'm not sure what the deal is now. Is it his back? I dunno. I know he hasn't been the same. But man, when he was in Orlando, he was absolutely great. He was the most dominant defensive force in the league. There was no question that he was the best big in the league for a good 5+ years. He might even get back on track once this year, now that he'll be another year away from his back injury.

During Howards best years, he was one of the best rebounder and defenders the league has ever seen. Just my opinion.

I actually really like this lineup. You have three incredibly unselfish, team first individuals and one guy who wants the ball. Howard, Duncan and Pippen defensively is a helluva combo.
