What's new

Jazz cancelled my family's season tickets after 36 years.

Invitation to discuss with Greg Miller

Sirkickyass,

This is Greg Miller. I'd like to offer my condolences on the passing of your grandfather.

I'd appreciate the opportunity to discuss this season ticket issue with you personally. I invite you to contact my assistant Tobie Warner by calling (801) 563-4100 to schedule an appointment.

Got my tweet, huh Greg? That's pretty awesome if Greg is posting here to clear this up. Hope it is legit. Even if Kickys family doesn't buy tickets again, it will go a long way with the fans on this board. Especially those like me who will be getting season tickets in the future.

Definite bucket list item for me.
I think next year will finally be the year.

I remember overhearing some 'fans' in front of me in the lower bowl bragging about their no-doubt illustriously large family (6+ seats that I could count) getting continual influx of gimme gimme tickets from some grandfathered in ticket plan from some old coot that, by the sounds of it, was probably in an iron lung somewhere not knowing or caring who the Jazz were. I had spent around $350 for tickets and concessions for one game and wanted to punch this pack of people in their collective faces by nights end.

As crummy as it sounds for everyone, there are reasons why these things lapse. Plus I imagine how empty the arena got last year spooked the Jazz a little bit into getting some fresh season ticket plans sold. I know I've seen them announce an open-house season ticket free-for-fall multiple times this season on social media.

We don't want any bad press, do we Greggy? Go put a little more gel in your hair like you're a 16 year old boy and let an adult take the reins. Play time's over.

****ing douche.

Takes one to know one.

If that is really Greg, that is awesome that he would sign up to talk about this. We don't know this was run by him personally as a decision and the fact that he might want to make it right is awesome.

Dear Greg,
I was the biggest fan of our former Player BIG-AL Jefferson. This Christmas my only wish is to have Big-AL Jefferson back in Utah, who is the best Center in the World right now and also is beloved by every jazzfan on this site.
Please, bring back AL... :(
Thanks...
Youre most loyal Utah Jazz Fan CAKAR...

This is a lame, insensitive, horse **** move by a corporation. This kind of gratitude for 36 years of loyalty in addition to $360,000 in cold hard cash, apparently, is reprehensible and a move by someone that has too much money, and to hell with the legality and rights talk; this is a business with customer service, not a quibble over a parking ticket. I sincerely hope that the post above is G. Miller and that you are given first an apology and then obsequious treatment. Truly sorry to hear about all of this!

If that is an Alt, well done.

If that is the real Greg, wow.

Either way, it is a little strange and probably good to be reminded that while we hide behind the safety of our screen name, we are often talking about real issues and real people.

That and I love your team Mr. Miller. Thanks for the radio broadcasts so that I can follow the jazz.

I can't verify that it's the real Greg Miller, but I can say that the account was set up using a lhm.com email address. So if it's someone's alternate account it's several notches more sophisticated than the typical alt.

If it was really Greg, I feel like he would private message instead of posting on the forum, but idk.
