What's new

2014 College Football

Damn..... dude has a strong arm

he's a much better runner than passer. that's what the second half of the video is all about. he's the same mold as taysom, just a step behind as a runner, but a step above as a passer.

his family are big ute fans, but rumors are that he won't play up there if whitt gets canned or doesn't get to play qb. if he does transfer, intense qb competition next year for byu if taysom jumps ship

Is tanner mangum suppossed to be ready to go next year? (back from his mission?)

Hansen is such a gifted athlete, but I don't see him beating out the 3 or 4 guys that are gonna be on the depth chart ahead of him. I think Brandon Cox or Donovan Isom make a run at the starting QB spot next year regardless of Travis Wilson still being around.

That being said, Utah's Safety and LB depth looks good moving forward, so have at him BYU.

It's not set in stone that Hansen is transferring, but when a person is on a mission and wants to talk transfer, they have to initiate the conversation. So he is interested. However, its worth noting that his family are big Ute fans DESPITE his dad, uncle and cousin all playing at BYU.

Now he'd have competition at BYU as well. Tanner Mangum was co-MVP with Jameis Winston at the elite 11 camp. But I do think Hansen is good enough to beatmangum out.

Interesting take considering how high people are on Mangum as a pocket passer. Due to his running ability, maybe BYU sees Hansen as Taysom 2.0.

I salivated at his highlight reels when Utah was recruiting him, but if his heart is pulling him to BYU, so be it. I'm pretty much done getting excited for recruits that go on missions. It seems like they basically re-open their recruitment once they get close to returning from a mission.

Maybe him and Langi can be roommates.

With the new mission age, I wonder how many transfers there will be once all the 18 year olds start getting home

If you have any interest of playing QB, why the hell would you ever go to Utah?

You will mow through 4 OC's and 4 systems (at least) and you'll be lucky to go to one bowl game. Plus, you'll probably have a new head coach soon.

The Utah program is such a mess offensively... And has been, for years! Since 2008 it has been a junkyard.

Why not Conner Manning? I've seen video of all them except Isom and that's the guy that stands out to me. Broke Matt Barkley's Orange County passing records. And he even looks like he is Peyton and Eli's brother to boot.

He's definitely in the mix, I just forgot to mention him. His rail thin frame does concern me (think Jordan Wynn), but he does seem to have more talent.

That being said, I found it interesting that Brandon Cox basically leap frogged him to snag #3 on the depth chart this fall. Does that say more about Manning, or the type of QB Christiansen wants running his offense?

Isom is still the guy I look at as a legit solution. The dude is 6'4", his body is college ready, and he might have the best arm on the team. The talent is there, and he seems like the best viable option to stay healthy for a full season. I think he makes a push next fall.

Been watching the Ducks. Mariota is really good, but the team's pretty meh. I really don't think there should be a PAC 12 team in the playoff this year.
