Plus, the SEC is so tough because Alabama almost lost to an Arkansas team that won ZERO games versus P5 teams last year? Or because Kentucky schedules UT Martin, Ohio Bobcats, and ULM Warhawks? You do realize that Kentucky lost to a Florida team that MIGHT win one game in the PAC-12, and that would be against Colorado.

But yeah, the fact that Mississippi State has squeaked by Kentucky, the MIGHTY UAB Blazers, wow. How freaking AMAZING is the SEC? Wow. But they did beat LSU. The mighty LSU Tigers, with wins over Wisconsin, Sam Houston, ULM, New Mexico State, those AWESOME Florida and Kentucky teams. Yeah, the SEC is MIGHTY. BUT, they did beat Ole Miss. Let's look at Ole Miss shall we?

Ole Miss beat a shell of their former self in Boise State, Vandy, Lousiana RAGIN CAJUNS, Memphis, and Alabama. What makes Alabama impressive? Let's see.

Alabama has beaten West Virginia, Florida Atlantic, Southern Miss, Florida.

Basically, all the SEC has done is beaten themselves. OOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHH. I'm so impressed.

Look at who the PAC-12 has beaten this year:

Michigan St
Michigan
Virginia
Texas
Northwestern
Illinois

and has lost to Notre Dame, has Notre Dame scheduled two more times and I'll even give BYU a shout out. Plus, the PAC-12 will absorb six more losses because of the 9 game schedule.

Whoever wins the PAC-12 might have two losses. Yet, some idiots will argue a one loss SEC team that did NOT win the SEC should get in over the PAC-12 champion.

That PAC-12 champion will have played 11 P5 teams, while the SEC one loss team will have played 8. Yeah. That SEC grind is real. Real freaking weak.

The good news is, it doesn't matter. Win out and we are national champions. Lose, and we aren't. This isn't middle tier football anymore. The rankings are irrelevant until the end of the season, because if we win, we will be in. If we won't, we won't.

But winning that one would allow us to lose one in the current gauntlet we are in. As it is we have to win out, even if we somehow win out the regular season, beating Oregon a second time in the championship? Damn! (Which is why the no championship Bug 12 is a joke, we'd get punished for losing a game that the Big 12 doesn't even have to play.)

This is true. If we had beaten WSU, then this weekend would probably be for south title. If we had beaten WSU, then beaten ASU, then we could lose to Stanford and Oregon and probably still win the south.

Oh well. If we want to win the south, we will just have to go out and win the south. Love it.

If we win out then we knock off Oregon. If Notre Dame beats USC and AZ St they're most likely in. So you're lookin at MSU(sec) ,FSU(acc), and Notre Dame(ind). In that scenario the 4th team could be TCU or Kansas St(Big 12),Michigan st or Ohio St(big 10), Utes(pac 12). I don't think winning out will guarantee the Utes a spot in the playoff.

Notre Dame gets in over us with 2 wins vs Oregon, At Stanford, At UCLA, Arizona, At Arizona St, and USC? Not a chance in hell.
 
Everyone jumped LSU over Utah, because LSU plays in the mighty SEC. Lets look at resumes and see who is more impressive:

Team #1:
Win vs Wisconsin in the south. Not a home game, but not a true road game. More of a road game for Wisconsin than LSU.
Win vs Sam Houston State.
Win vs ULM Warhawks.
Loss to Miss State at home.
Win over New Mexico State.
Lost at Auburn.
Win vs Florida on the road.
Win vs Kentucky at home.
Win vs Ole Miss at home.

5-1 at home.
1-1 on the road.
3-0 vs G5/FCS teams.
4-2 vs P5 teams.

Team #2:
Win over ISU at home.
Win over FSU at home.
Win at Michigan.
Loss vs WSU at home.
Win at UCLA.
Win at OSU.
Win over USC at home.

3-1 at home.
3-0 on the road.
2-0 vs G5/FCS teams.
4-1 vs P5 teams.

LSU had did done NUTHIN that says they should be ranked above Utah. Not one thing. But dat SEC doe. Dat extra G5/FCS game be tuff doe. Playing at home...rough doe. No OOC road games, really do bring da team down doe.

Give me a break.

Like I said, my top four are:

#1 - FSU
#2 - Oregon
#3 - Notre Dame
#4 - Miss St

The SEC schedules are pathetic compared to FSU, Oregon and Notre Dame. Pathetic.

A one loss PAC-12 team gets in. They would have played 11 P5 games. No other team will have done that (except maybe FSU). That would be 2 more P5 teams than any other conference, especially the SEC.

I am very interested to see how the committee rankings look. I have a feeling the SEC will be mighty disappointed.

The SEC is tough because there is t a team with a decent QB. Why do you think two middle of the road Big 12 teams came in and started competing? Not because the SEC is so tough. Because there aren't any QB's in the SEC.

The SEC has their reputation because of 8 game conference schedules and 1 bowl game a year.

Kudos to them for that. They always win the one game that matters.

Notre Dame already beat stanford. If they go 3-0 in pac 12 play yes they are in over a one loss pac 12 team save Oregon. They are also one of the most storied programs in college football. If you think that school history won't count for anything with the committee I think you are being naive.

No way, I do not think Utah will win out, but if they do, absolutely no one will have a better resume than them. they would be a no-brainer.

If Notre Dame goes 3-0 in the Pac 12 it will taint that resume in a head to head comparison with them. Their one loss so far is Florida St. Ours is Wazzu.

These are the same people who think an SEC team with 8-9 P5 games has proven more than a PAC-12 team with 11 P5 games.
 
My top 25 based on how you did on the road. Road wins are the toughest wins out there and make the SEC look silly.

#1 - FSU - undefeated, actually have played a pretty tough schedule.
#2 - Oregon - 3-0 on the road. Their only loss looks like it was due to injury.
#3 - Notre Dame. 0-1 on the road vs P5, but their only loss was to FSU and have played a tough schedule so far.
#4 - Miss St - piss poor schedule.
#5 - ASU - 3-0 on the road.
#6 - Utah - 3-0 on the road. Didn't want to jinx them by putting above ASU.
#7 - Michigan St - 2-1 on the road. Only loss to Oregon on the other side of the US
#8 - Ole Miss - 2-1 on the road. Beat Alabama.
#9 - Alabama - 2-1 on the road. Beat WV, who I have ranked higher than Clemson.
#10 - Georgia - 2-1 on the road. Beat Clemson, who I have ranked lower than WV.
#11 - Arizona - 2-0 on the road. Beat Oregon.
#12 - Kansas St - 2-0 on the road.
#13 - Ohio St - 2-0 on the road.
#14 - Baylor - 2-0 on the road.
#15 - Auburn - 1-1 on the road.
#16 - Nebraska - 1-1 on the road.
#17 - Duke - 1-1 on the road.
#18 - TCU - 0-1 on the road. Pathetic.
#19 - UCLA - 4-0 on the road.
#20 - West Virginia - 3-0 on the road.
#21 - USC - 2-2 on the road.
#22 - LSU - 1-1 on the road.
#23 - Oklahoma - 1-1 on the road.
