What's new

Jazz claim Joe Ingles and Jordan Hamilton off waivers.

Chicken or egg argument. Article after article has been published about how Diaw has struggled with finding coaches who know how to find a proper role of him on the team, because his game is so un-American. Read up young-blood.

Boo hoo, my coach doesn't use me correctly so I'm going to consistently show up to training camp extremely overweight and not care about the team.

thee has the IQ of a peanut, ignore him.

Not nearly among the NBAs elite, in terms of starting lineups. Probably close to the bottom of the league, actually.

Keyword is can, here. This is a loose correlational statement, and there's no causal element to it whatsoever.

It's more insulting that: a) you act like a a Euroleague player can't be better AT ANY SKILL than an NBA player just because the NBA dude starts on a team; and b) you act like you know Ingles's talent repertoire completely to the point where you can dismiss claims on his talent, when ECTYA has seen more Ingles games than you've seen MSU football games.
That's the key here. There are MANY MORE euro-players that are better at some skills than some NBA players are.

I wouldn't even guess that someone would have objections to that. I mean it's not even that important.

No one has objected that or said that, I have only objected that Ingles is better than Hayward at anything related to basketball on a NBA court (because he isn't and hasn't proven otherwise).

It's okay, he'll go to a team that knows how to use him, and help them win a championship.

Will bet $100 that Cy didn't know who Ingles was 4 months ago.

These moves do seem odd.
But Hamilton and Ingles seem to both be able to shoot, handle the ball, and pass.
That seems like what Snyder's system wants out of everyone.
Seems like there may be more moves coming.
Evans is certainly expendable now.
Novak also seems expendable.

You're trolling now, but I'm sure you got my point.

I'll cease my involvement in this discussion by saying how refreshing it is that most of the bright employees in the NBA circle subscribe to ECTYA's thought process moreso than Cy's. Fortunately, our GM is one of them.

Moves aren't that odd from a GM standpoint since GM's would be cutting and adding players like these all the time if they had unlimited resources. I think it's a weird move on Miller's part that he is signing off on paying and cutting these scrubs just to pay and cut new ones.

Now we are playing word plays? Just because that Ingles did not play on a NBA court yet?

Yet again, by the same logic, all the best defenders of Euro-game are worse than all the worst NBA defenders. All the best Euro-shooters are worse than all the worst NBA shooters, all the best Euro-passers are worse than all the worst NBA passers and so on.

The fact is, Hayward sucks at moving shooting and Ingles excels at it. So Ingles is better than him at that in my opinion. End of the discussion for me. You can go on if you want.

Novak's contract isn't so doubt it.

DL probably doesn't think Ingles is better than Hayward at anything.

Has there really been four pages of argument for a guy who will rarely suit up in a game for Utah?

Was there this much hustle and bustle for Erik Murphy last year?

That makes the team

Burke/Exum/Clark
Burks/Murray
Hayward/Hood/Hamilton/Ingles
Kanter/Booker/Evans/Novak
Favors/Gobert

We are heavy on power forwards and small forwards. We could really us another guard.

Well Dante will play some at SG and so can Hayward. I wouldn't be surprised if Hood can play some SG too. I like Hamilton coming out of the draft. I think he can be a 15-20 point guy. He can't be worse than the guy they cut.

Dude, have you misunderstood my argument this whole time?

The Jazz play in the NBA. Hayward plays in the NBA. Hayward has proven himself to a very good, jack-of-all-trades type player in the NBA.

Ingles was a good player in the Euroleague's. He has proven that he is a good player over there.

He hasn't proven he can do anything of those things in the NBA. To say he is better than Hayward at anything is insulting. Hayward has earned his respect on the NBA court and Ingles hasn't.

Europeans get really butthurt, even when you say a guy from Australia isn't as good at any facet of the NBA game than Hayward.

Get off the internet then.

I suppose then that answers and doesn't answer my question. The thread went from 3 pages to 7 in a small amount to time I wasn't paying attention, and the last page was in the same vein as your response, so I'm making the assumption, then, that the last four pages were antagonistic idiocy.
