Is everyone expendable?

As poorly as Jazz are playing would anyone be willing to trade Millsap or even Deron if the price was right?
Of course the asking price for Deron would be high and there would only be a handful of possibilities but would you do it if proposed?

I would say that Deron is the only untouchable. Of course if Miami called and offered LBJ and Wade for Deron we would probably bite. But at this point I would have to say that anyone else could be traded if it pulled us out of our slump and helped us become contenders.

Honestly, if Deron keeps it up with his attitude towards the team(even on nights where he does nothing to contribute), a lot of people ARE going to see him as expendable. I personally don't, but with the right pieces, even if he were to leave when his contract is up, the Jazz could still be a playoff team, possibly more in the future.

I would definitely be shopping Deron. You would be crazy not to see what you could get for him, although it would be tough to get equal talent in return. If by chance there is a lock out that lasts all of next season and Deron declines his player option, this could be his last season in Utah. KOC would be nuts not to at least hear what other teams offer for him. I believe if the move is right no one should be safe.

Trading Deron would be idiotic.

How so? No one is speaking of immediately. We have still yet to see what this team can do when firing on all cylinders. Hopefully we will see that sometime this season. Deron doesn't make this team, and if you think that, you are sadly mistaken. I like Deron as much as the next guy, but when it comes time for him to either resign or be dealt, the Jazz organization would be fools to not see what they could get for him, especially if he is still unhappy and does not want to be here. We may not get another Deron when the time comes, because he can be/has been one of the best PG's in the league, but we may be able to find something that brings the rest of the team together, a piece/multiple pieces that propel this team past what they can do with Deron.

Given what the team has done, the way they are trending and the attitudes, I think that everyone is expendable. Including Deron. Including Sloan.

But don't count on anything, KOC Won't do a deal for 10 cents on the dollar.

That is the one piece we all know is here for the duration. In the eyes of the Millers Sloan is the only piece that is not expendable and will be here forever or until he dies or retires. Even if he has a debilitating accident or something he will be slobbering on the sidelines through a half-open mouth looking like he isn't aware he is in a gym.

Wait a minute....

I don't really understand the whole "attitudes" thing. Are the Jazz players supposed to be jumping for joy and laughing it up on the sidelines in the middle of a slump? I'd be mad too, just saying.

Haven't you heard about the cloning experiments? This franchise would collapse without ole Jer.

I really don't think deron can be traded but we really really need a good shooting guard or small forward or a center with height. Bell can't shoot and too old and can't drive to the hoop. Ak can't shoot. Big al too small at center. No bench except for cj. This team needs to do something before trade deadline.

I think you have to think about moving Dwill his attitude it aweful! Maybe go younger and build a bigger/ taller team( Except for Curry) and move him to Golden State for Steph Curry, Dorral Wright and a 1st rounder. Then see what we can get for Millsap maybe Granger , move Ak for Murphy and a 1st rounder and next year trade Memos exprng contract with Bell.

Building Blocks
Starters; Curry, Miles, Granger, Jefferson, Murphy Bench to build with (already under contract with these trades) Hayward, Wright, Evans, Then trade Bell and Memo and try and use one of those 1st rounders on Anthony Randolph. Would be great team to build with. With tons of scorers who can all shot the 3 balll.

or Fire Sloan and get Mike Dantoni and let this Jazz team run!!! Trade Jefferson for Granger, Keep Milsap and trade Ak for Murphy and just run run run while shooting 35 3s a game. Maybe even trade Dwill for Wright and Curry plus pick and just run run run
Curry Bell Granger Millsap Murphy Price MIles Wright Memo. Dang our entire team could just shoot 3s all game

I would definitely be shopping Deron.
You would definitely be retarded, insane, or both. Shopping is not the same as taking calls, and even then, what would realistically be anything approaching equal value?

The second you make a call, you've resigned yourself to .10 on the dollar.

Give us a trade scenario that's halfway realistic that doesn't amount to robbery. The climate on the trade market is never give up anything and get everything, nobody throws the kitchen sink to get what they want. Until the climate changes, Deron creates a Carmelo hostage situation, or your star is aging and you're going nowhere, you clutch onto your best player(s) like grim death. At least as a general rule, and that rule definitely applies here.

And to answer the initial question;

Hypothetically, everyone's available for the right price. In the real world, Deron is untouchable.

Maybe this year, buy next year I don't think he can be viewed like that. I think we at least need a trip to the conference finals to keep him around.
