Following potential 2015 draftees

you know what would be kind of cool if the jazz got a wing in the first round and could get dakari Johnson in the early second.

Kelly Oubre is looking like a legit 3/D player.....meaning, he's now playing some D.

I really like this guy. Reminds me of Kawhi Leonard.

I just read a fascinating article about Kawhi Leonard and his ability to become a leader in the Spurs organization.

https://www.nba.com/2015/news/features/ian_thomsen/01/31/kawhi-leonard-knows-time-in-nearing-for-him-to-take-the-lead/

In the article above, they talk about Kawhi's humility and team first attitude.

In the Nike Hoops Summit interview linked below, Kelly Oubre comes across as extremely confident, which seemed a little off-putting to a vanilla Jazz fan such as myself.

https://www.draftexpress.com/profile/Kelly-Oubre-70215/#ooid=EzeTgxbTplxNiaFgkOGSBq62B9-UZ90w

I began to wonder if Oubre might be too selfish.

But after reading several articles about how he earned Bill Self's trust and in turn, more playing time, by playing better defense and adopting more of the team's concepts I have become less concerned about his ego.

e.g. https://espn.go.com/mens-college-basketball/story/_/id/12262418/kelly-oubre-jr-flourishing-kansas-jayhawks-basketball-slow-start

Furthermore, in the Kawhi Leonard article, the concern from the Spur's staff is if Kawhi will ever develop into a leader, which I don't think would be an issue for Oubre.

Just some food for thought and in no way am I saying he is as good as Kawhi. He's actually fairly different, but Kawhi is a pretty good comparison for him physically.

How many 3 and D guys are there in the league?

Klay
Danny Green
Ariza
Wes Mathews
Matt Barnes
Kawhi Leonard?

Kawhi does too many things well to be thought of as strictly 3 and d though...

There just aren't many I can think of in the league.

He would also have to be a better 3 point shooter to be considered a 3&D in my book.

How do you whine about Kawhi being included, who is a 37% career 3 point shooter, with a 33.3% down season with his hand and eye injuries, but don't say a word about Trevor Ariza, who is a 34.4% career 3point shooter, who's shooting 32.5% this season, who other than his 2 years in Washington never shot above 33%?

Also Kawhi is so much more than a 3D player.

Cause I don't give a **** about Trevor Ariza.

I would not say that Klay is 3&D. His D is getting there, but he can still be beat off the dribble too easily.

(Maybe he's gotten a lot better this year... I haven't seen enough, I guess...)

He's a major plus offensively, no doubt.

Klay is regarded by many to be a top 10 perimeter defender.
