What's new

I had a dream where Kanter demanded to be traded

what did happen to the thread?

I have no idea. Jason's looking into it.

I suppose it's possible one of the moderators could have accidentally deleted it. That would explain it being missing. But that also seems quite unlikely. Pretty mysterious.

It'll be back. They always are.

One of the mods is Kanter's agent?

Two possibilities here: Either he knew exactly what he was doing and wanted to send a message(this would be completely asinine, considering that making this public could hurt Utah's ability to move him), or he just said something stupid in a moment of frustration. My gut feeling is the latter, which is NOT the same thing as asking for a trade.

And then you missed the part where his agent called in to a local radio show and basically said yeah...we are not happy how he was treated and he wants to move on.

In the meantime, let's sticky this thread.

Srsly? Crazy that the '15 draftees thread hasn't been stickied. They were always stuck year round and (he told me directly) Jason said he didn't want a thread stickied year round. Fine, but this one is way past due. Name one thread that has remained in the top 6/7 of threads for months, with 300+ pages, and not stickied. I kid, I know there isn't one. (Buckner?)

I don't care, at all, tbh.. but just stating the obvious.

I don't know. It sounds like you really do care. Like a lot.

To give some context as to how unlikely this is, they would have to make the mistake on three separate pages and probably re-login once to do it. They'd also have to check a box to hard delete it or else any moderator could see the ghost of the dead thread and revive it from there.

In sum, this looks like a technical error rather than a moderating one.

Please give the rundown of how this would have to happen to be a technical error, in comparison. Thanks.

If it is always on the first page what's the point in stickiing it? Wouldn't it be better to sticky a thread that has been around a while but falls back a few pages now and again? Isn't that the point?

I read your first as pure comedy, then I read this loaf and feel dumb. This isn't the first time Kanter has said something plus the no extension thing should tell you all you need to know about his attitude towards the organization. It predates the draft too (Washington).

No. He asked to be traded. Period. It's a fact. Whether he was frustrated, sad, or constipated is completely irrelevant.
