You have proof he wouldn't pick Utah? You have proof he won't leave after a 1/3rd of a season?

Having a roster that is more full of assets is better than having a roster less full of assets. Players aren't dumb. They know you have to have bullets to fire in order to win a championship. If they're smart, the pick teams that have a full magazine. Having Lamb or Perry Jones and/or a 1st-round pick is better than not having them.
 
I don't think Jazz are on Dragic's short list. But if we could get him, we have to trade Burke or Exum since Dragic is demanding to be on a team where he gets to be the primary ball-handler for 35 or so minutes a night.

So you're saying we should trade Kanter for Lamb, Jones, and a draft pick(would be lottery proteted at the least) and that gives us a better chance at signing Dragic than trading for him now and giving him a third of a season to play in Utah and get to know all the players and coaches?

That's ridiculous.

IF we got him he'd automatically become the starting PG with at least 35mpg and be the #1 or #2 scoring option. Wouldn't matter if Burke was on the team or not.

We're not getting Dragic. Let's move on to more realistic prospects.

The players Union just turned down the "smoothing" For the TV money. He won't want to sign a 4 year deal until 2017. If he is somewhere that he has a large role I think he doesn't excercise his player option. We get to sell him on the Jazz for all of next season.
 
So does anyone think that the original post "Kanter for a young guy and a 1st rounder" is anything but an advertisement by DL? I think he's fishing, trying to drum up interest through the Wojo press agency. Also, this is the right thing to announce regardless.

Since you brought up the cba, everyone take a few moments to enjoy the nba for the remaining 8 weeks. Perhaps the new league can form an alliance with Europe and have a true international championship, or atleast multiple games against each other thus offering a fresh approach and new story lines to compete with the dull and tired stories the nba would try to offer.

So eat, drink, and watch merrily, because in 2017 the nba will die.

Lemme get this straight. The league is going to contact? All hose teams that make millions year after year are just going to disappear?
