The Non-Jazz NBA Thread in the Jazz Section

If you compare Sexton and Jrue, its pretty easy to see how much more technique and IQ/instincts/experience matter than athleticism. Sexton probably beats Jrue in most aspects of athleticism, isnt drastically smaller nor does he lack in effort.. but there is a massive difference in their...

I didnt say he isnt athletic, but I dont see him being elite athlete. Maybe decent was lowballing him and good would have been better.

Defense is not just about athleticism.. other stuff such as technique (esp footwork), IQ/experience, effort, reflexes and physical dimensions are also important. Some of them like technique is way more important. I think Jrue and White are decent athletes, but I would also say they are nothing...

My definition of a chucker is more about shot selection and decission making. If you take open shots because of an action that made you open or the opponent sagging off of you, you are supposed to shoot... especially if we hope he actually becomes a valuable NBA player. He doesnt have many other...

Well said. Also the stats actually say this: He took 440 three point shots in the season of which: Only 4 (<1%) where very tightly contested (0-2 ft of separation) 59 (13.4%) were tightly contensted (2-4 ft) 199 (45.2%) were open (4-6 ft) 170 (38.6%) were wide open (6+ ft) So a total 83.8% of...

Big poll about the Jazz strategies

Also good thing Rockets got that future MVP level guy who is gonna make them a perennial contender in.... wait... almost as if I cannot identify that guy..... thats weird...

Tyreek is a weird example, seeing that Mahomes has won 2/2 Super Bowls since losing Tyreek, and the Dolphins have been booted in the wild card 2/2 times with him. His talent never won anything for the Chiefs. It was always Mahomes.

I would probably actually go with Klay instead of Steph. You dont really need 4 on-ball players and while Joker is great as he is, he does touch the ball 100+ times per game. Or then swap out Joker for more of an offball player like Dirk, and put in Steph. That would fix spacing even better...

    Off-Season Rumblings

I guess thats sort of fair... but I dont think 75% of the board is against Don. I think there are just few of those who are very loud about it. Personally I think both are great players, but I wouldnt pick either one top 3 in their position group (Guard/Center) if I was to build the best...

I dont know if it was just me who had it wrong. If its meant to be an all time super team then it would never work. Joker has the best career 3P percentage of those guys at 35%.

    Off-Season Rumblings

I think the Pels already deferred the draft pick to next year. I remember seeing that in Hoopshype timeline at one point. EDIT: I went to Google to check this out. The decission deadline is June 1st and they are expected to defer, but havent made it official yet.

It was named a GOAT lineup though. Not all time super team.

Kareem with 5 chips, 6 MVPs and the most unguardable shot in the history of the NBA will remain the starting center in that lineup even if Joker wins this year and the next.

Its weird how hating on Gobert is such a big deal for you that you go from 3 posts per month to 10 posts per day once you get a reason to rip that guy. Or are you actually hating on people in JFC who have fought you over the subject?

I watched the whole game. They started with Rudy on Joker instead of KAT who has guarded him more in the series. That didnt work and Rudy couldnt slow him down, so they went back to having KAT on Joker and Rudy on Gordon, but that didnt work either. Joker had one of those games where he looked...
