Haha you just can't help yourself. We constantly see these so called super teams fail and yet you want to build it with 2 guys in their mid 30's. Brilliant idea.

No, I want to put two stars around a 26 and 25 year old ...

Age doesn't matter if they are still hooping
 
PG from 3 years ago would be a fantastic compliment to Lauri and Conley from 5 years ago.

Look, if PG is your #2/3 alongside Lauri and you can get an true Alpha then he represents a pretty fantastic part of a trio. But what alpha joins the group and comes to Utah to do it? Luka Doncic or Giannis? Trae Young seems gettable and perhaps at a bit of a budget without chucking too many draft picks. Hows about John Collins, Sexton and draft assets in principle for Trae Young? Hawks don't want Collins back and Collins surely doesn't want to go back. Ha!

Trae Young just doesn't excite me too much.

LeBron is out there too. The ultimate alpha. Draft Bronny and who knows what happens.
 
I'll be honest... I have a hard time really evaluating it with how wild it would be for a super team to form in Utah. Miami, LA, Phoenix.... Utah!

Its a pretty simple formula... draft a couple of your key pieces (stars if you will) trade for one. If we could draft a couple around Lauri that would be great. Its going to get harder and harder to line that timeline up though.

They are stars for maybe 1 more year and you can definitely count on a regression during that year. Not to mention 2 guys that are very injury prone. You come up with the worst ideas sometimes. Also walk me through how it is even feasible to add PG and Butler while still doing a renegotiate and extend with Lauri while also keeping Sexton. First off my understanding is that Lauri can't even do a renegotiate and extend until August 7 and we have to keep roughly 17mil in capspace open to do that. That means we have to ship out Collins plus likely an asset to clear enough space to sign George. Then to absorb Butler's 48.8 mil in salary we need to send out that same 48.8 mil to keep that money open to renegotiate and extend Lauri so that means Sexton has to go in any Butler trade along with Key, Hendricks, Clarkson and a few other pieces.
 
This is a fan forum. Some BS is absolutely needed to make it fun. Can't always have pristine comments.

If a super team hinges on maxing out a 34-y.o. PG then it won't be a super team. It'll be older clippers 2.0

And if you think he won't command it then you know nothing John Snow.

No, I understand he would command large money with large years. I just think he is worth it if you can get a favorable trade for the third star.

Look I'm not a CBA nerd. All I know is that if you can keep Sexton/Lauri, sign PG, and get a top 20 player in a trade you do it.
 
It's fantasy.
PG13 and any other star at his Age will never comes to UT.
He has open invitation to contending 76ers and play off teams like Orlando.
We better convince Larry Bird to play than PG13.
