Jazz Clippers trade

Is Tucker even dressed for each game and on Clippers bench each night?
Looks like he has not played a minute for Clippers

Obviously, we are dumping Tucker and that leaves us with a free roster spot, no? That seems worth watching.

Also, it looks like Bamba is going to get minutes, especially if we keep sitting Kessler for the winnable games.

Boring trade of 13th - 15th roster players.

Drew is the only serviceable player in the group. This is mostly a money move for the clippers.

Jazz doing favors for a pick by Absorbing cap space. Also, Tucker and Mills both may benefit from a change of space. Mo Bamba was always going to be a jazzman.

I like to watch Drew play, so it sucks a bit in that sense, but it's hard to get worked up one way or the other about a trade like this. Hard for us to say how important the mentorship of Patty Mills was.

This is a pretty meh pick for cap space. Not horrible, but a little disappointing.

I think we just changed the 2030 second round swap the Clippers owed us into a full 2030 second.

I don't think any trade we do is a setup for any other trade. We're sellers now, not buyers.
We're definitely sellers; I think a Collins trade is going to happen. Now we can buy out Tucker and have an extra spot on the roster as well.

Something I’ve been concerned about since the day we hired Ainge is that he think he has a reputation for being a mother-****er and I think it’s a tax on getting a lot of deals done. Not least of all that I wonder how many calls are never had just because people don’t want to deal with him.

This trade might be somewhat inviting. It signals the front office is down to play ball and not just thump other teams whether that’s a fair reputation or not.

So, I’m gonna hope this loosens the phone lines a little. Cuz the Clippers got a real sweet deal here.

I wondered about the wisdom of signing Mills and Eubanks as opposed to giving the same or less $$$ to two of the guys we let go after last season, any two.

Luka is 25, going on 26. If he stays with the Lakers he's still very much in his prime in 2029. Not sure the 1st they got from the Lakers is even that valuable.
