2024-25 Trade Rumors Thread

Jazz probably need to at least trade one of Collins, Clarkson or Sexton tomorrow if they want to finish in the bottom 3. They're not catching the Wizards and it's going to be tough to finish worse than the Pelicans and Hornets.
How long is Sexton expected to be hurt?

Haven’t you heard it’s national help the lakers weekT

If Mark Williams can stay healthy the Lakers are championship contenders. Not just now, but like for the next 10 years they will be in the mix.
After James retires, the Lakers will have to rebuild with very picks. They can contend now but they will need to rebuild around Luka. Williams is good but he is often injured. It will be interesting to watch but I don't see the Lakers being contenders for 10 years.

At the same time, the Hornets have so few good and promising players, and just X'ing one out of the equation just sets you up for even more years of tanking, so I would be incredibly frustrated as a Hornets fan.

#1 I'm happy Toronto made the trade as they will distance themselves from the tank

#2 I had no clue who Mark Williams was until he dropped 31 on us earlier this year. I'm hoping Dalton can be unleashed and win them a few games but I'm not super confident this will happen. Knecht can shoot and will get more minutes so I'll cross my fingers. I checked out their roster to see who the new starting center is and his name is Moussa Diabate. The good news (for our tank) is that he's been playing better as of late and has solid numbers. The issue is if he goes down they don't have a backup center who can score. Hey, Charlotte... give us a first for John Collins!

If they still had Nick Richards I could see this being a net positive for their wins, but thye have no 5's now

Locke dropped his podcast on youtube for today and he's making an argument to get Zion now that the market is asking for less draft capital on stars.

Locke's argument amounts to buy low on a star. He might not be healthy for the next two years, but that's a benefit to Utah as they want to tank for a top 5 pick this year and next. Then you have Collier/Keyonte developed, two top 5 picks, Lauri, and Walker and you have a massively talented team. If he doesnt mature/get healthy by year 3 you just move on and it's low cost to where it wont hurt your future.

Zion to Utah just makes too much sense.

Danny is pissed he missed out on Luka now that he is probably locked into LA for the next decade. He wants his own splash and goes hunting for Zion.
