This falls out of scope for JA quotes, but as I randomly went to check pulse on Lakersground after they lost to the Horncats there were some tears I had to share.
Also this is both a Hornets win and a Lakers loss so its definitely a Jazz win.

PRE-GAME

Hornets are an embarrassing franchise. After all star break above 500 teams should only have to play above 500 teams

Doncic is gonna kick it into another gear, he’s heard talk of people doubting him, fans criticized him after the Utah loss, I look for him to play some spectacular basketball down the stretch as we head towards the playoffs

Luka LUKA LUKA LUKA TIME!!!

Pissed off Mark Willams; meet pissed off Luka Doncic.
Oh and also not pissed off Dalton Knecht.

Dalton regret game...
as in, the Hornets regretting not getting him

1ST HALF

this starting lineup all offense no defense. smh

Anyway, which costar are we getting for LeBron after Luka ages out?

"I dont know if all out offense will work vs good teams, but let's see. Cause defense is 0."
it's not helping that, on average so far, only 3 guys are getting back

"what the hell am I watching?"
This is sloppier than the G-League tryout I watched a YouTuber do today.

Doncic the next Lakers Westbrook?

Jazz won the trade

I don't know which quarter was uglier, but we won that one as well. A lot of rust in this one for both teams

2ND HALF

No wonder ratings are down. This is a terrible product. Threes and turnovers.

If Mark Williams couldn’t pass his physical, how the hell did Luka? He looks like he’s in pain out there.

We need to be careful here. We blew the Jazz game. We can’t lose to this nonsense team too.

Piss poor effort, after a piss poor effort last game

This team is a joke. That loss to the Jazz wasn't a fluke. We will probably lose at Portland tomorrow

Sigh I miss AD and Christie. This team is just discombobulated

I need tea and cookies

POST-GAME

and people said this game was a freebie and Bron should rest.

The media went from Lakers as contenders to Luka being a bad fit

Wow, it's hard to understand how they lose to one of the leagues dormats at home. The intensity and effort seems to have vanished.

Losing to the Jazz who was trying to lose was a red flag but everyone just shook it off as just Luka's second game. Championship contenders don't lose to tanking teams.

Would be fantastic if the Lakers were just really mediocre these next two years and Luka bounces in UFA

The current Luka doesn't exactly look like someone who would kickstart a massive league wide bidding war in free agency. His inability to play on a team that hasn't been 100% built around him is getting more and more exposed by the day. Plus his body is all but broken.

He's not going anywhere, the Lakers are a safe haven for him... no matter how much the trade stung.

What's the past tense of that? ShatNuts? I am also struggling with the dynamics here of how this is executed. Maybe ChatGPT has the answer of how someone can **** his nuts.

i wonder if this is kind of like us trading away gobert. gobert is the nba's elite rim defender, but there are things that he doesn't do that he needs to be able to do in order to win a championship. maybe luca's the same, and the mav's knew it.

He got to the Finals as a 25 year old..
all by himself without any other teammates? (sarcasm alert ) my point is/was that the mavs might have had to build around his weaknesses just like the jazz had to and they got tired of covering for his defensive shortcomings just like the jazz got tired of covering for gobert's lack of offence.
