What's new

Following Potential 2025 Draftees

Another thing on Jase, he has elite FT shooting %'s. That combined with the unreal touch, I think you could talk yourself into projecting him as a very talented offensive player. I could see him, like a Devin Booker, really leveling up when you give him more responsibility.

Their top 4 leaders in minutes are all small scoring guards. Could definitely be the case of too many cooks in the kitchen and he would be killing it in a bigger role. He has not missed a beat since moving into the starting lineup.

Cashiggy hasn't had a new scouting video in 5 days and I'm going through withdrawals.

It's been 3 weeks since hoop intellect put out a new video.

Does anybody know where else you can find scouting videos that show both the makes and misses?

Fleming almost never has a bad game. (As he should considering it's the A10). Really hope they get in the tournament
He's going to jump into the lotto. Once measurements and testing happen. The eye test says he's a monster and once you put numbers too it he will rise. Both Bryant and Flemming will go top 20. Not a lot of 3 and D types and I think they are both good bets.

The more I fuss around with trying to figure out how good college players will be in the NBA, the more I realize just how different college and the NBA are. To put it bluntly, Tre Johnson is a better NBA athlete than Brice Sensabaugh is. Brice is barely athletic enough to play at this level. I'd expect this to become more clear during the Combine testing.

Put Brice on the same floor as Jerami Grant, Toumani Camara and Shaedon Sharpe, and Brice can't do much besides taking open catch-and-shoot jumpers. Brice has already put in good work to improve his body, but he still looks slow compared to guys like Svi and Juzang.
bottom line, sensabaugh is fat. hard to be good in the nba when you are a fat guard. not as hard in college.

It will be interesting to see which teams opt to go for a super productive big with questionable translatability (Queen, Wolf, CMB, Newell, Toppin) or just someone that seems to fit well into a role like Fleming or Bryant.

Where does Egor fit into this?

No Demin.
I hope he comes back to BYU to lol

Whoops, I totally forgot about Egor. He didn't fit in to any of my categories, lol.

I think I would put him at 16 for now.

He's such an odd player....I think it's pretty clear that he's not good enough to be a PG even at the high D1 level. His handle simply isn't good enough and basically every time I watch him it looks like he's drowning under too much ball handling responsibility. Having said that, I wonder what he might look like in a more appropriate role. I actually think he's a good athlete who plays really hard. Maybe he's in the Carter Bryant category of wings where he's promising, but needs to nail down a few skill developments to be a very useful player?

He has two low hanging fruits that would really raise his stock, but at the same time he looks very bad in those areas so there might not be a lot of hope. If he can improve his handle, I think he can be a primary ball handler with great passing and can also put pressure on the rim. If he can improve his shooting, he can be a useful wing with exceptional passing for the position.

Good post.
I think if we drafted him I would hope he could be a little bit better Joe Ingles. Which would be a pretty nice player. But as you said, he would need to improve his handle and shooting a bunch to get there.

I think we need to start adding players that make winning plays in addition to just overall talent and skill level. This is why I wanted Castle so much last year... this is why I'm a huge proponent for VJ(in addition to Flagg) this year. I just don't trust Ace. He looks like a taller version of Andrew Wiggins to me. And yes, there are versions of that archetype that might turn into something really good, but I'm just not sure I see the overall bball IQ, vision and motor to make it all work.

yup. His motor will impress. And it will translate.

Ok, then you should probably address why you omitted Kasparas from your list this year.
