2024-2025 Tank Race

I hope my rock doesn't offend you. I don't know if it's a justice league thing or not. I find it offensive that everyone in the NBA seems to think it's great to throw games. I come from an era that trying your best to win was what was expected. I know that sounds pretty old fashioned, but then I am old so that's OK. I have hidden under no rocks, I have stated from the start of this thing that I find it apprehensible and it makes me ashamed that MY JAZZ are participating in it. The sorry state of the NBA practically makes it mandatory.
Even college sports are crumbling faster than I ever imagined it could because players move around to whichever school will pay the most. I guess I'm just getting too old for this ****. GET OFF OF MY LAWN!
I think your third sentence is where your vision is blurred. Even most guys who were hugely in favor of tanking have said that they hate this way of conducting business. So while they root for losses, they dont think there's anything "great" about it.

But it is what it is... you play by the game the best you can according to the rules given. Being a jolly good sport in business world or sports is often less rewarding than being dirty or living in the gray area. Its sad but true. That may be because the rules suck, but if you have followed this board closely you know the main topic of conversation all year has been how to fix this issue on the level where it actually exists.

The problem isnt that we are doing it. The problem is that there is a theoretical reward for doing it. I mean if there is gold at the end of this rainbow, then I'd rather have the Jazz get it than any other team.

I understand your point of view. Tanking s.... but it's a kind of mandatory with the current NBA rules. Jazz are a small market and will always have to go the hard way to get better. Tanking, overpaying players....i agree with you of one point. Getting old myself, i do get any excitement to watch Jazz tanking. I find a way, looking many games of Minny, Cavs, Knicks to keep my interest in the NBA alive.
And for the PO, i will root for Mike , Rudy and Don.

How often do you think Hardy regrets taking this job.

Like, three times a day or twelve.

Could have been a title winning coach (though I think he's a lot worse than Mazzulla so maybe not)

Instead is being told by Danny Ainge to not play the only center on the roster so they can intentionally throw games.

He's became the youngest NBA coach in history with a 5 year contract. Im sure he's furious with himself for his overwhelming career success.
