Hey everyone,

With President Trump back in office since January 20, I’ve been looking into what his administration has accomplished in these first three months. It’s early, but there’s already a lot to talk about! I’ve put together a list of what seem to be his biggest wins so far, based on reports and what’s being discussed out there. These are subjective, of course, depending on what you value, so I’ve included some pros and cons for balance. Curious to hear your thoughts—what do you think are his best moves?

1. Border Security and Immigration Crackdown
Trump’s gone hard on border policy, signing orders to end “catch-and-release,” bring back “Remain in Mexico,” and block asylum for illegal border crossers. The administration says illegal crossings are down 94% from Feb 2024 and 96% from Biden’s peak, with some areas seeing a 99% drop. The Laken Riley Act mandates detention for illegal immigrants charged with theft or violence, and they’ve started deportation flights, nabbing 538 people (including criminals) in one day.

Why It’s Big: Supporters say this delivers on Trump’s promise to secure the border and keep communities safe.

What do you think about these numbers? Is the border situation as improved as they claim?

2. Economic Moves: Tariffs and Massive Investments

Trump’s slapped tariffs on steel (25%), aluminum (25%), and Chinese goods (10% to 145% to fight fentanyl and trade imbalances). The Dow reportedly jumped nearly 3,000 points in a day—called the biggest ever. He’s also secured over $1 trillion in investments: $500B from Softbank/Oracle/OpenAI for AI, $500B from Apple for 20,000 jobs, and $100B from TSMC for chips.

Why It’s Big: Fans say tariffs protect U.S. workers and these deals will supercharge the economy.

Are tariffs the right call, or are we headed for a trade war?

3. Deregulation and Government Overhaul

Trump’s signed over 130 executive orders, pausing Biden’s regulations, freezing federal aid for review, and bringing back Schedule F to fire civil servants easier. He’s shut down DEI offices (staff on paid leave) and tapped Elon Musk to streamline government with worker buyouts.
Why It’s Big: Supporters love the push to cut bureaucracy and “woke” policies, saying it saves money and restores merit.

4. Energy Policy: Full Speed on Fossil Fuels

Declaring a “National Energy Emergency,” Trump’s scrapped Biden’s climate rules, greenlit a new LNG project, and boosted coal (even calling it a critical mineral). He’s also loosened rules on gas-guzzling cars and appliances.

Why It’s Big: Fans say it’s lowering energy costs and saving jobs in coal country, plus giving consumers freedom.

5. Foreign Policy: Hostage Wins and Global Moves

Trump’s freed two Americans from Russia and Belarus, making 11 total hostage releases. He’s met with Putin, Zelenskyy, and Jordan’s king (who took in 2,000 sick kids from Gaza). He’s also paused some foreign aid and eased business regulations abroad.

Why It’s Big: Getting Americans home is a clear win, and supporters say he’s projecting strength without new wars.

Final Thoughts

It’s only been three months, so it’s hard to judge long-term impact. Supporters are hyped about borders, tariffs, and deregulation—core campaign promises. I tried to stick to facts from places like Reuters, Forbes, and White House statements, not just social media hype.
What do you all think? Which of these stands out as Trump’s best move so far? Anything I missed? Let’s keep it civil and dive in!
