They're all extremely low upside players and are worse prospects than are normally in the 3-5 range. I don't think there's much of any gap from 3 to 10.
If we get #3, we're probably taking VJ and he'll be a nice, Jalen Suggs-like player, who we view as the fifth best player on a contending team.
It's completely irrelevant whether we finish with the worst, second worst, or third worst record. We need a top 2 pick or the season was a failure and those odds are flat 1-3.
We just need to finish with a worse record than the Pelicans.
Man, this is a bleak loss.
The 76ers are more motivated to lose than the Jazz and have 3-4 NBA players left on the roster. Two of those 4 barely played tonight.
Jazz trail by 22.
Do wonder who wins PotY between Broome and Flagg.
Would probably give it to Broome just because Flagg is going to get a decade plus of accolades in the NBA.
Jazz pretty clearly turned down a first, a swap, and Knecht for Kessler at the deadline so I assume they're keeping Kessler so they can try to instantly compete if they get Flagg or AJ or Peterson or Boozer.
The issue is that the way we're tanking is by dramatically limiting Kessler's games...
My ranking of the best post-LeBron prospects:
1. Wemby
2. Oden
3. Zion
4. Flagg
5. AD
6. KD
Flagg has way less injury risk than all of these guys had coming into the league though.
Okay, so I hate basically all conservative ideology for only wanting to discriminate against others, but this goes beyond discrimination to just confusingly, impossibly stupid.
How do people not know that... Markets are global.
If Russia and Saudi Arabia stopped producing fossil fuels, the...
Feel pretty confident that VJ is the third best player in this draft as he's probably going to be as good as Jalen Suggs and there's just such a huge dropoff after #2 that Jalen Suggs is about as good as you can get. He's smart, he's a freak of nature, his jumpshot is... OK. He has almost no...
One thing I'm growing more confident in as Walker continues to get rested for no reason is that we promised him huge money to make him not complain.
Like, he was guaranteed to get between 5-125 and 5-150 in his extension next year, but I'm increasingly feeling like 5-150 is his floor.
I could...
The question of fit with the current roster is so tough as it's unclear which if any guys from this roster will be here in even two years.
But outside of Flagg and Harper (who fit great anyway...), there's no high level guy worth ignoring fit for.
Ace and VJ having no ball handling at all is...
VJ is a 3D PG.
He's extremely small and has to play next to a next ball handler like Luka, but he's nothing like Donovan.
I would expect him to end up as like a league average starting PG if he can play next to a ball handling wing.
Probably can end up roughly as good as Jalen Suggs. You want...
Teams with top 5 picks rarely win titles because they're either forced into tanking because they're in an unappealing situation or because they're a terrible organization that isn't actually tanking, they're just consistently bad.
A big issue with the Jazz, of course, is that it's going to be...
