This is a pretty meh pick for cap space. Not horrible, but a little disappointing.
I think we just changed the 2030 second round swap the Clippers owed us into a full 2030 second.
Ace is making way more shots now, but man, this is the hardest shot diet I've seen from a prospect in a really long time.
I guess him shooting 42% from three on heavily contested threes is actually more impressive because wow, there's no separation here, lol.
Fox's trade value is weird just because it's so easy to go to the Spurs in two years because Wemby makes very little money for the next 2.5 years.
Most players do not have plausible FA threats (see: Jimmy Butler) so teams can still trade them to wherever. The teams players usually want to go to...
Fox is fine defensively while Sexton is one of the worst defenders in the league.
If Sexton was average defensively, I think he would have a huge amount of value around the league, but he's been terrible and it's so hard to play a terrible defender in the modern NBA unless they're a superstar...
It's not just that Sabonis-Collins is a bad fit defensively, it's that you have to protect DeRozan defensively so it becomes even more awkward.
The Kings have a bunch of solid players that just aren't good enough to be big time guys on a contending team and Collins would just be another one of...
John Collins is close to the worst possible fit you could dream up for the Kings so I imagine the coaching staff told the GM that they should not, lol.
As of now, the return for the Mitchell trade looks really disappointing.
The Jazz traded Mitchell for
Lauri Markkanen (two great years, but during a tank. Currently having a down year and unclear trade value)
Collin Sexton (two good years, but during a tank. Will probably be turned into a late...
I do not know if "Our star player is simply not trying because the team he signed a five year deal with is trying to throw games" is good for trade discussions either, lol.
I don't know, Markkanen physically looks really bad this year so I have to assume his injuries are at least somewhat real. His explosion is completely gone.
Him having no creators around him does excuse some of his offensive decline, but him also being one of the worst defenders in the NBA this...
Markkanen has had a down year, has been injured a ton recently, has been an extremely bad defender this year, and is on a full four year max.
Obviously none of these guys will be traded other than Sexton or Collins potentially.
Jazz trade value rankings imo
Kessler: Two firsts in teens
Markkanen: One first in teens and expiring contracts
Sexton: One first in early 20s and an expiring contract
Hendricks: One first in late 20s
Keyonte: One first in late 20s
Collins: Two seconds in 40s and an expiring contract...
