OK so not great either, lol.

Who or what did we trade Dominique Wilkins (or that pick) for? Can’t remember rn.

Count me in the "don't believe in Malauch yet" camp. Meaningful minutes at Duke is nothing to sneeze at but he strikes me as ~2 years away from NBA rotational minutes on a bad team. I miss the big man era, though and love long / disruptive bigs so I hope he proves me wrong.

Some interesting takes in that draft. I understand salivating over Malauch's physical tools...but taking him at #5 ahead of Tre Johnson would be a headscratcher.

Text from my Mavs fan buddy - LOL. Hard to disagree. "All Nico had to do was nothing. Just do nothing and we are a top 5 team with a chance to go back to the Finals. Instead he did all of this. Screwed us this year, next year, and long-term. It might be the worst trade in NBA history."

Gotta be rock bottom for the Mavericks - right? What else could go wrong here? Luka scores 150 tonight? We'll see how Luka's career shakes out but this is an early contender for worst trade in NBA history.

    If not Flagg or Harper…

I hear you on the MPJ piece and not being able to facilitate. Ace gets the ball and is clearly thinking "score." But he doesn't strike me as the un-serious type. He goes really hard. If anything might need to rein in the emotions a bit (3 technicals this year, lol).

    If not Flagg or Harper…

Give me Ace all day long. Still go back and forth on him vs. Harper for #2. At this point I see three tiers: Coop Dogg Harper 2a Bailey 2b Everyone else. 4 is where it gets interesting.

IMO, Egor has fallen off to the point where I think he has no business being a lottery pick. I think another year playing alongside AJ with a sizeable NIL deal is the ticket for him.

100%. IMO, I’d have taken Kas, VJ or Tre over Risacher as well. Sarr TBD. The top 3 this year would’ve been the runaway #1 last year.

Kessler might be unplayable down the stretch. Sensing a contusion, back spasms, or right foot soreness imminently.

I’d love to see Keyonte put up 45 on 13/53 shooting in a 25 point loss.

Yep. And no better role model in that regard than LBJ. His routine + PED regimen is just the ticket for Luka. Kidding aside - he’s 25. And has absolutely killed it, hookah + beer included. I am much more inclined to give him the benefit of the doubt based on results to date vs. make unfounded...

3 wins in our last 10 loss opportunities is unacceptable. Need to get serious again.

With their “luck” they’ve probably been guaranteed Cooper Flagg if they finish bottom seven. It is written.

Keyonte George Hype & Appreciation Thread

Fair point. No, I do not watch the games - I have better things to do than watch a team lose 60 times in a season. I'll revise my comment to "he looks comfortable coming off the bench." Happy now?

His February splits are also looking quite nice: 45.0 / 37.8 / 75.6 Small sample size, but he looks real comfortable right now playing alongside Collier.

Utah Jazz have lost 44% of its viewership since a year ago.

If anything I'm surprised it's only 44%. League Pass was a no-brainer "no" this year for me. Not saying it's the wrong strategy long term (it's the right strategy) but makes for some brutal years in the meantime. No wonder the league hates it.

Cooper Flagg wants another year in college

Fair point, but it's hard to imagine that sort of exponential growth in the AAV of a supermax continuing in perpetuity, and/or being impossible for agents to figure out and provide some guidance on when to sign, how long to sign for, etc. But even in your Jokic scenario - that's still an AAV of...
