    2024-25 Trade Rumors Thread

The problem is he's on my fantasy team, so I suggest he gets his **** together and starts playing ball.

Dallas trading Luka to the Lakers for Anthony Davis! Utah involved.

I would think he could coexist with Luka just fine. Might not be an optimal pairing, but I wouldn't be all that worried either.

You'd think so, but it also seems like they really kept it under lock and key. Feels like a quite extreme gamble.

Lakers 2027 First Rounder: Projecting Lakers Team Building w/Luka

We'll see. Leaving LA for a year or two of more basketball some other place wouldn't surprise me.

Dallas trading Luka to the Lakers for Anthony Davis! Utah involved.

I certainly understand Mavs giving up on Luka to an extent, but I _am_ surprised at how little they got. I would've thought at least get the '31 pick something like top 4 protected. And it's never going to be a win for Dallas if AD can't stay healthy. That's also a pretty big if. That said...

Lakers 2027 First Rounder: Projecting Lakers Team Building w/Luka

That, or if he just doesn't pick up his option and goes elsewhere in FA, will put them at ~137M (with cap at 154M).

The first LeBron here is Luka, right? I guess the Big Question now is which LeBron trades make sense... Warriors is one, obviously. What about Boston? Could he return to Cleveland again?

Lakers 2027 First Rounder: Projecting Lakers Team Building w/Luka

Looks like they are way over the cap next summer. If cap is $154M (which I'm guessing is what Spotrac is trying to say), LBJ and Luka are slightly over 90 combined, but they also have Kleber, Hachimura, Finney-Smith, Vanderbilt, Reeves and Vincent over 10M (Rui at 18).

That doesn't make sense. What if the 1st seed wins the lottery, then you are jumped by three other teams?

    Jazz Clippers trade

I like to watch Drew play, so it sucks a bit in that sense, but it's hard to get worked up one way or the other about a trade like this. Hard for us to say how important the mentorship of Patty Mills was.

Maybe not that weird, but we also can't sustain the same kind of play later in the game with the same lineup (start of Q1 for one).

Jazz really have a way of starting out super strong, then folding like anyone's business. I guess it's partially other teams just getting out there thinking it's an easy win, but it also feels like we play Really Well those first minutes. Kinda weird.

As for long-term planning, that might be the best, but tanking sucks so ****ing hard. Please, no. I'm invested in just throwing this season, but I need to get back on track here.

    2024-25 Trade Rumors Thread

Yeah, that's something I'd have to think about, but LAL being the FA destination it is, I wouldn't at all trust them to be really bad once Lebron and AD are gone. They will suck if they are still there, but get injured, though.

I wouldn't consider that for a split second. That's not close at all IMHO.

Will The Jazz Make a Trade this Deadline?

Drew is quickly becoming a premier shot blocker. He's really fun to watch as well.

    Jazz Suns trade

The '25 and '27 Cavs picks are definitely mid, but I certainly wouldn't call the Wolves picks mid. Not the '29 Cavs pick either.

Minny & Cavs 2025 picks watch thread

Not looking great... This Warriors team isn't much to write home about outside of Curry.
