Yes, there were talks of jazz interest in Collins, but there was never any scuttlebutt about what the trade would actually be until after the trade happened. In any case, there was nothing about the Cleveland trade, so I don’t see how you can say the jazz haven’t kept anything close to the vest.

I disagree. No “experts“ had talked about, posted about, or said anything about the Cleveland trade. Everybody was under the assumption that the jazz and New York were going to make a trade when the Cleveland trade came out of the blue. They also have not forecasted any of their other trades...

I just remember two years ago everybody was hot and heavy around the jazz and New York, and then the Cleveland trade came out of nowhere and blew everyone away. This kind of feels the same way to me.
