I hope we stash one or two picks and that frees up a roster spot. Having an elite NBA skill should give you some extra consideration as you work on other skills.

Like I said, a negative in every aspect except the pick. Agree to disagree on whether it made a difference- I don’t think the fans or the league would of let them get away with as egregious a tank as that would of required to get the worst record- still maybe 5th or so, but that could of dropped...

Neutral in being an essential component of getting the worst record. I actually think he was on a very good trajectory and would have won us too many games if he played. Outside of the pick context, yes, we lost an important year of his development, so it is bad otherwise.

Lots of bright spots- Brice, Isaiah was spectacular at times, Flip showed out as the season went on, Collins earned his money and will be worth it if he picks up his option, Kessler got back on track, Sexton was great, Oscar/Harkless/Kmart2/Johnny all showed enough that they are worth keeping...

If the tech total countdown continue into the playoffs, they may very well want to get this out of the way rather than risk getting suspended for a playoff game.

If he continues to make free throws at that rate it will be hard to play him off the floor in the playoffs.

Does the NBA have agreements w/the Euro leagues to honor contracts? I assume so, since we regularly hear about contract buyouts. Don't remember hearing similar things happening in the past. Even college teams have been buying out contracts in Europe, though I doubt a specific agreement has ever...

Stunning: Nuggets fire both Coach & GM ….

Not at all, lots of recent winners no longer with their teams. Add to that when you have the best player in the league, most of the credit goes to that player over the coach- i.e. there are probably 50 coaches that could have won at least one championship in Malone's tenure with the same roster...

Stunning: Nuggets fire both Coach & GM ….

He is, but he is extremely stubborn and abrasive, so he tends to wear on his players and organization, so I'm not particularly shocked by this other than the timing.

Yeah, if he works hard on his handle he could end up being a bargain, which is exactly why he won't fall too far- I'd be surprised if he's still there when the Jazz pick. His floor is pretty good and his ceiling is very high.

Also Tom Chambers came to mind, he wasn't especially 'dominant' but he was an elite athlete- chatgpt summary of him: Tom Chambers, a 6'10", 220 lb power forward, was known for his exceptional athleticism, agility, and shooting range, making him a unique and effective player in the NBA...

≈ Probably plenty of 'mostly white' (i.e. more white than Obama) like Blake Griffin, that are equally comfortable in either cultural paradigm and can 'context switch' easily, but get identified as 'black' in American culture. No particular reason logically (genetically speaking rather than...

Agreed on Svi- Juzang it depends on other options- he earns what he makes but his ceiling is pretty much where he is already at, so if we’re still in developmental mode, it may be time to say goodbye.

    Taylor Hendricks injury thread

Of course I started at around 260 chasing my runt companion up hills, in a high resistance gear (ended up busting a couple cranks with the pressure I was putting on them) so I could keep up. I have a disproportionately large upper body (30 inseam w/a 6’2” body) so my quads completely blew up in...

    Taylor Hendricks injury thread

Well it just takes high resistance biking if you really want to bulk up in your quads (as informed by me going up lots of hills on bikes on my mission and busting out of my pant-legs eventually and buying new pants.)
