Something not really considered, but very much could have been part of this is dimentia. It starts almost unnoticble... less patience and makes decision making slightly less rational. Can gradually onset over years. This may have had touches of that going on.

And we got Favors, who is still helping us today. Sloan may have already had early stages of dimentia setting in, it starts very subtle very early as well... kinda messes with judgement

I’d take almost anybody over Randle. He’s just not a player who helps a team win. Randle / Favors is an insulting comparison.

Agree there is no way to know what would have happened. However, it left the spurs up 1 instead of tied. That does not change the Spurs stragegy on the last shot... of your up you would still want the last shot.

Which had he made a 3pt play out of it could have helped the Jazz win the game and change playoff standings substantially. Pretty bad 4pt swing in the Atlanta loss after a no-call as well.
