I immediately thought of Cillian Murphy. Imagine Quinn getting angry at the ref and a horde of bees flying out of his mouth. the Bear would have to put on a mask and cape and run out on the court to save the day.

The PF C thing is not complete semantics. From day one Duncan was lucky enough to play with a second center and be allowed to create a mismatch. He is great, but if he was forced to play C and paired with, say, Milsap as his PF for the past 5 years things would not be the same.

So the question is... What are the odds that Exum isn't picked at the 4? Is that a lock any more or less than the first 3 players?

After the great tank off of 2013-14 whomever we get BETTER be and upgrade in their position. Whatever position that ends up being. If we end up getting a player that is no better than who we already have we have wasted a year.

Agreed... In many mock drafts I see Gordon slipping in the last week. He is in the 8-10 spots in many of them. Randal and Vonleh are the most common 5 pick.

The two questions then... 1. Who really is the best of those players likely to be there at 5? (Some of you have much more knowledge about this topic than I so feel free to share.) 2. Is the drop from the 4 to 5 pick significant enough to give up an asset to move up a spot?

Management says repeatedly that the "Best player Available" is the pick. That said... team needs and positioning aside... Which is truly the BPA? Gordon, Randal, Smart or Vonleh?

Trouble is the Jazz do not need a PF or PG a much as they do a SF or true C. However, the bpa at the 5 pick appears to e a PF or a PG... Means we are getting a redundant player, or we need to make a trade.

Moving up may be problematic. If this happens the Jazz need to look the other direction. Jazz don't need a PG (or PG) as much as other positions so: Trade Kanter and our 5th with Charlotte for the 9th. Grab McDermott (SF) and a center to replace Kanter... like... perhaps... Big Al!! Their...
