I'd rather have Covington tbh. Royce has always been overrated in my opinion. As well having an undersized Royce, Conley, and Mitchell in your starting lineup isn't a good idea.
Glad that were doing this again. My predictions are as follows:
1.Jazz
2.Suns
3.Nuggets
4.Mavericks
5.Clippers
6.Warriors
7.Blazers
8.Lakers
9.Grizzlies
10. Timberwolves
11.Kings
12.Spurs
13.Pelicans
14.Thunder
15.Rockets
I was looking at Butler's salary and noticed we only have him under contract for two years? How do we keep him if he's an unrestricted free agent? If he blows up he will want a larger role. As well we don't exactly have a lot of financial flexibility over the next 3 years.
Hmm, these rankings are actually pretty accurate in my opinion. I'm not seeing many players below Donovan that could be considered worse than him. The only ones I see are Trae Young and Jason Taytum. Maybe you could argue Devon Booker or Chris Paul? With Gobert I see him being more valuable...
Deron, has been with that other girl for awhile now. So it's not surprising his wife found someone else too. I've encountered his wife before and she seemed crabby and the rich standoffish type. So maybe a change of pace is good for both parties.
I know most of this forum isn't very found of him. But it wasn't very long ago that him and Rudy were competing for DPOY. So now we have the DPOY and someone who has the potential DPOY caliber skill backing him up. It would not surprise me if this works out.. That we are by far the best...
Honestly, this one might end up being the worst one. When I saw it, it reminded me of Chandler Parsons contract that he didn't come close to living up to.
Tough question. In my opinion either Alex Caruso or Lonzo Ball. But then again at least they're still young and can improve. The Lowry and Paul contracts are ridiculous.
We need an athletic and long 3-And-D player. If we don't get it, then we aren't better this season. Arguably worse and we won't be able to beat the LA teams, GSW, and the nets without one.
If the Jazz FO are so high on Jared Butler as they probably should be. Does this mean that we aren't very sure that Conley is coming back? Or that we can even afford to bring him back. Butler obviously has the potential to be a pretty decent starting guard. But maybe they just envision him at...
He was pretty good at defense against Kawhi for two games and it stood out. You can't tell me he has guarded anyone that hard and with that much effort since we signed him. Thus a lot of "effort". (Not saying he doesn't give effort) People here are so anal about the stupidest things sometimes.
He made it to the finals in his first try with Phoenix. No way him and the suns don't want to run it back. The only way I can see him leaving is if it's to play with Bron.
