The Biden Administration and All Things Politics

What's up with wanting everything to turn into WWIII? I could kinda see the concern around the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine (turns out the Russians were more corrupt than anticipated and their military was falling apart). But why on earth would Iran/Israel, even if they went to...

Jazz Future Pick Watch: Minnesota Timberwolves are nearing a trade to send Karl-Anthony Towns to the Knicks for Julius Randle and Donte DiVincenzo

He was fine in LA as a solid mid rotation guy, I'd probably like that more for the Wolves.

KAT traded to Knicks - impact on ‘25 pick?

Next seasons FA class is bad, I can see him getting money if he opts out (probably slightly lesser, but more years).

KAT traded to Knicks - impact on ‘25 pick?

T-Wolves slightly worse short term (Randle is a bum and a poor fit, but Donte is pretty good). Notably worse long term, I think Rudy walks after this next season.

Jazz exercise option on Will Hardy's contract, extend through 26-27 season

Seems fine, but generally Will hasn't wowed me so far. Haven't seen much evidence yet he can motivate guys to play defense at any sort of passable level,, which is the #1 thing I'm looking for in a good head coach.

It's nice to find common ground. I also like windows in my buildings.

    Take the Political Typology Quiz

Yep, not really an economic quiz. I've only got my grandparents portraits up, but I'm comfortable identifying as some form of Marxist, and I wound up Ambivalent right because it's mostly a social test. Answers below: Bigger government, modestly expand Religion should be separate America's...

    Take the Political Typology Quiz

They tell me I'm Ambivalent Right. I'm not too surprised given my rather neutral social stances as that's what it focused on.

I'm a Marxist, Kamala, not so much.

    Kamala Harris for Pres

Yup. If (pretty big if) immigration is a problem it's a fairly minor one, and not particularly new, the 'problem' has really stayed pretty steady since at least W.

    Kamala Harris for Pres

He's surprisingly not that old (for a politician) at 'only' 60. He could serve two terms as VP, two terms as president and still be younger than Trump is today.

My bet's on 'trying to impress Jodie Foster' for motive.

US spending in Ukraine is hardly the genesis or primary reason for any US financial problems, it was like 1% of the budget last year.

The Biden Administration and All Things Politics

One of the more measured statements I've seen from Donald in his first social media post on the topic. Maybe there's some hope yet.

The Biden Administration and All Things Politics

There might be a few rich folks on each side of the aisle that truly prefer that sides politics, but for the most part they're buttering up to both parties to keep those wheels greased. See Trump himself flipping from Dem to Rep when he wanted to give politics a spin. The rich don't...
