Woj says the Jazz are listening to offers for Mitchell

If we can get the following, I’d be over the moon: 3 unprotected 1sts from NYK 1 lightly protected 1st from NYK 2 pick swaps from NYK (Essentially the same draft haul we got for Gobert, plus an extra swap) Another 1st they’ve acquired from another team Quickley Grimes Toppin Give me that and...

Woj says the Jazz are listening to offers for Mitchell

And I bet the Knicks fans would agree with you - that they'd prefer Grimes wasn't in the trade either. They love him.

Woj says the Jazz are listening to offers for Mitchell

I'd recommend everyone here to start familiarizing yourselves with Quentin Grimes

    Trade Rumors Involving the Jazz

I’m sure others have mentioned it, but it’s getting to the point that we begin scratching our heads regarding Ayton not landing somewhere by now, right?

If this should happen, I would forever refer to Mitchell as OctoDon.

    Trade Rumors Involving the Jazz

Mannix on Russillo's podcast today: "in the coming months the market for Donovan Mitchell, I believe, will be incredibly robust." He goes on to say, that Ainge only does deals when he smells desperation. He said that Ainge smells desperation better than any Exec he's ever been around. He then...

Donovan Mitchell unlikely to ask for trade per ESPN’s Brian Windhorst

I see no scenario where either of these guys get traded - but especially Beal. He has to now have one of the most unmovable contracts in the league.

    Trade Rumors Involving the Jazz

I never once even mentioned trading him to Miami. I do not want to trade him to Miami. That makes no sense for multiple reasons. So where is this coming from?

    Trade Rumors Involving the Jazz

Ok, but we didn’t, and MEM traded us their best player, and they got a couple late first rounders from us. How’d this plan turn out for them? Sure, I’d love to trade with the worst team in the league for their picks, who wouldn’t? But our best bet to get a generational player would be for us...

    Trade Rumors Involving the Jazz

If we trade Donovan and tank, we have a shot at a top 3 pick. I don’t foresee a scenario where NYK is one of the 5-6 worst teams in the league next year, especially if they have Donovan. Now, 3-4 years down the road, I could see it.

This is totally beside the point I was making. But that aside, when did I even mention NYK or MIA?

    Trade Rumors Involving the Jazz

You didn’t understand my post. Our best asset (in the short term) would be our own high draft pick next year (and probably 2024).

    Trade Rumors Involving the Jazz

Correct. Their best asset was the #2 pick that they “acquired” due to tanking. That’s probably going to be the same case for us - at least in the near future.

    Trade Rumors Involving the Jazz

I think MEM and NOP should be our models. Small markets that cashed in on some all-stars, tanked for a couple years and both are in excellent positions for the next few years. One correction though, MEM finished 2 in the west this year.

    Trade Rumors Involving the Jazz

So, given our pick could convey to OKC in 2026 (which is the latest it could convey - and cool side note, if it doesn't convey then, it's just extinguished - no 2nd rounder or anything), then the earliest pick we could send out in a trade today would be our 2028 1st rounder, is that right?
