Well considering we only have 6-7 NBA level players on the roster, his stats are going to be inflated this year. I think GMs are smart enough to realize that come free agency.
My more conservative 2 cents:
Burks is the only one with the potential to get traded. The jazz value consistency (and now defense) more than most teams and won't trade a defensive minded Favors and his now reasonable contract. I even see a Hayward sign and trade more likely than a Favors trade...
If the GS pick lands in the expected 16-22 range, do we keep that pick?
I get the feeling the Jazz won't add two more 1st rounders to an already young team. Especially with the possibility of Neto coming over.
Here's hoping for some Lindsey draft magic version 2014.
The free agency part doesn't get discussed here in depth very often. Yes we are going to have some spending money but I wonder if we'll wait yet another year to spend it since we still won't be contending in '14-'15.
I can see the Jazz using TWO years to develop/evaluate their players...
Pelton was also pretty high on Gobert. Talked up his potential but says his biggest area for improvement needs to be his pick and roll D.
Also surprised he's only projecting Evans with 5 ppg. Figured he'll be closer to 8 with the playing time he's bound to get.
Kanter will average more points than Favors no doubt. Also Burks is being rated too low. I see him closer to 14 ppg.
We'll probably have 4 guys in the 14-18 ppg range.
I'll admit it. I wanted him over Burke. Sad news, I was excited to see him play.
They're saying he'll be back in January. Still think he's a strange fit for that team.
I get not liking his play by play and his general annoyingness, but he actually has some intelligent things to say half the time. I'd take him over the vast majority of sports media types.
The trade for Marvin never should have happened. We gave up a decent 1 year contract for a bad 2 year contract. We got a pick for the trouble right? Nope, not even a second rounder. KOC blew that trade. To make it sting even more, Atlanta was +7 or so with Harris on the floor, and in the...
