What should we do in the off season?

Gobert, Favors, Hayward, Hood, Burks Exum, Booker, are Core 7 players who I do not expect to see traded. Ante Tomic will be here next year to round out the front line Draft pick will be BPA hopefully a SF or stretch 4 Burke will be traded or ride our last year hoping for improvement...

    Glen Robinson III?

I think we should claim him off waivers. Only has .5 M salary and not much left on that. He has more potential than most D-Leaguers and is in an area of need. Let Quinn see if he can work his magic and make him a steal.

    Trey Burke is getting sued

His lawsuit will do more to damage his reputation than the post. He had no reputation to speak of before to damage. Now he is blowing his reputation as a victim of an insensitive prank to a money grubbing opportunist making a mockery of our legal system.

Could be an interesting couple of days

With the recent Cleveland trade the Jazz have 13 players, roughly 56 M in salaries with a 63 M cap. We also have a bucket full of second round picks and Ian Clark on a 800k I guaranteed contract and Jeremy Evans on a 1.8 M expiring contract. Seems to me like we are still in a very good...

    Roster, minutes distribution, improvement

Jazz are better at every position but still very young. Should be about 10 games better.

    Roster, minutes distribution, improvement

You may be right about Booker. I did not look at his stats the way I did for everyone else. I was just going off what I had heard about him being an enforcer and rebounder. Even if he does not pan out Evans could play his 18 minutes and pretty much break even with what Marvin offered.

    Roster, minutes distribution, improvement

So, in evaluating the off season and projecting the improvements the Jazz have made I was wondering what the minutes distribution might look like and whether it would be better than last year and what reasons we may be better, areas where we will stay the same and where we may have regressed. I...

    Kendall Marshall Anyone?

As a young, former lottery pick, who has been a starter and is on a 1 year minimum contract I would pick him up off waivers. Better than JLIII and best 3 rd pg we could get

Omnibus Gordon Hayward Thread (To clean up the Board some)

To me your argument points to why we should match. Boozer as the natural # 1 option was out forcing AK into an unnatural position as the # 1 option. when Boozer came back and DWill was added the Jazz were immediately contenders. AK was relegated to his more natural position of # 3 (or lower)...

Who will be the best player from the 2014 draft class?

I am going with the surprise sleeper pick . John wall and Derek Rose were both number 1 picks. Exum could have been if he followed the traditional college route. I was not overly impressed with what I saw of wiggins or Parker so that leaves room for hope. Wouldn't that be great to get the...

With the 35th Pick... Jarnell Stokes (traded)

So, we will likely have two picks in the 35 to 40 range. Those can trade up to a mid to late 20 pick with a team not wanting guaranteed salary

    Penciling in our Depth Chart

My minute distribution is as follows: PG: Burke(30) Exum(18) Neto SG: Exum(12)Burks(30) Hayward (6) SF: Hayward(24) Hood(24) PF: Williams (24) Kanter (30) Evans,Thomas, Erik Murphy C : Favors (30) Gobert(12) This leaves room for Tomic and/or a couple salary fillers traded for draft picks...

    Penciling in our Depth Chart

PG - Burke, Exum, Neto SG - Burks, Exum, Hayward SF - Hayward, Hood, Evans PF - Kanter, Williams, M Thomas, E Murphy C - Favors, Tomic, Gobert. Still room for 1 to 3 rental players for picks. None of back up power forwards are sure to be back or resigned all depends on what assets we can pick up

With the Fifth Pick... Dante Exum

LOVE this pick. When were the Jazz the best? Stockton and Horny in the back court.. TB, Exum and Burks will be a terrific 3 man rotation on the guard line. This has the potential to eventually be one of the best best back court rotations we have ever had. Hayward and Exum can both play the 3...
