Problem wasn't you identifying his potential red flags... it was that you couldn't/wouldn't identify his potential elite traits.

The only reason I would consider this (and I love Dante), is if there really is something 'great' about Gobert and Exum playing more minutes together. Exum and Favors is a good combo... wonder if Gobert would deep down like to roll the dice on playing more minutes with X.

Embiid and Simmons isn't going to work longterm I reckon... unless Simmons does get serious about a jumper (and has the ability to hit shots). There might be a block buster trade in 18 months or so in relation to this team.

Also, combined with Dante's limitations, I really love him coming in at the end of 1st and 3rd quarters putting pressure on defenses when the penalty is in play (or near to it). He seems a great option to draw fouls whether shooting or simply penetrating

One thing was strange tonight, Redick is a catch 22 player for the Sixers cause he is getting abused on switches this year. Quin couldn't seem to expose him on the defensive side of the ball.

Wow, crazy numbers! Net rating of almost +9 and only just above 500! One of those two lines in unsustainable. I thought the Jazz could be a top 2 seed earlier on, even with some losses - but their path to a top 4 side is still truly there. In fact, I would consider them a favourite.

Good points. But I was actually thinking of him being a 22 minute type of guy that just gets to play more of his minutes with Gobert. Maybe it would require Crowder at the 4 as well.

Sometimes I wonder if Korver would be better as a low minutes starter - Ingles plays more minutes, but as the true 6th man. The more minutes that Korver can play with Gobert the better (surely).

I think he has always been a point guard. Not a totally multiskilled one, but a point guard nonetheless. His best traits are all point guardy traits. Capable of taking his direct opponent off the dribble, penetrate deep, at times finish around the rim and make decent decisions when distributing...
